I now have 2 20" Bushmasters, 1 flattop and one not. I also have a Cobray 37mm flare launcher. I am thinking put the launcher under the flattop with an aimpoint, MIAD grip, a few internal tweaks and call it good. My thoughts for the other one are to make it a 'designated marksman' rifle, maybe a 3x9, regular handguards, bi-pod, MIAD, and the same internal tweaks as the first. Add a nice National Match type leather sling and be done. Any other ideas? Suggestions? I also have a S&W AR, all decked out, EOTech, MIAD, Magpul stock, quad rail hand guard, etc. Thanks guys.

No thanks DOC. I'm happy with my S&W just the way it is. Besides, it's green!

it's green!
You and your "Save the Planet" tude.

I am looking to make my brothers AR and M4 as gift for when he gets out. But it was to expensive to do even before all the price gouging was going on. Thought I'd ask though.

I would mount the scope on the A3 rifle, not the A2.

I'd only mount an M203 under there, but that's not what you have.

If you must mount that tube under there, go for the A2 and put a USGI forward stock on it as well as the M203 sight on the carry handle so noobs can think you have something kewl.

Thanks a lot for all the input, folks. Its much appreciated and gives me something to chew on.

Dont start holding your breath yet, Matt. The 500 is not going anywhere any time soon.

Seriously...it is green! A very nice, OD green, to be exact. I thought it was one of my better efforts! [Beer]

The DMR's don't use an Aimpoint or a 3x9 scope, and are flat topped receivers. They use an ACOG TA01. They also don't have regular handguards, but a floated handguard.

Don't put the flare launcher on either AR. That's just not right.

Pure Mall Ninja.

Whatever...

If I could get my hands on that rifle...with the necessary ammo, of course...call it whatever you want. I'd have some fun...mall-ninja or not.

Acctually the DMR m-16 is equiped with models TA31F, TA31RCO, TA01, or TA01NSN. Just FYI

We had TA01NSN's on are M4s. The DMR's were using the TA31RCO
