Thankfully, there was no bias at all during the interview from CNN
A CNN interviewer asked Hickenlooper if, "God forbid," a Tancredo-style candidate who continued to make an issue of the death penalty won, what actions could Hickenlooper take?
LET'S not make Dunlap & the death penalty a POLITICAL FOOTBALL.
"If they did do that, and somehow they won, there are obviously remedies that the governor could do," Hickenlooper said of his options. "I could do a full clemency between election day and the end of the year. There are a number of different opportunities to make sure that doesn't happen. Again, human life should not be a political football."
What a complete and utter Dick.
I would like him to go sit down with the survivors of that incident and say it to their face.

^ This.

Same here... Too bad he's such a fucking coward he wouldn't ever do that. If he wins reelection I'm going to assume CO is lost.
I think I dislike Hickenlooper even more than I dislike Obama.

This +, I can't even come up with my own reply as I get tied up with disgust.

I just can't fathom that reply by chickenlooper. In the same paragraph where he talks about clemency he says that human life should not be a political football. Unreal.

He'd explain the complexities of the death penalty, combined with some of the not so fast lethal injections, make putting someone to death a difficult decision.
Seriously, he'd use that angle to justify sparing dunlap's life. While a room full of relatives, already checked for weapons, of the deceased sat there in shock.
Hickenlooper is an oxygen thief. He can't even stand up in front of us and say "I'm going to grant this utterly vile sub-human Nathan Dunlap clemency". What a sanctimonious coward.

I posted a version of this on my FB page, it is one of the worst things I have ever heard any politician say- ever. Clemency to a murderer to prevent his execution. Never believed such of thing could happen in this country.

What a hypocrite, Hick is the one that made it a "political football" when he gave Dunlap a reprieve by EO because he no longer agrees with the death penalty.
A stay is supposed to be used based on the individual case, not because you don't agree with the state law allowing the death penalty.
I don't know if I can stay in this state if he's running it for another 4 years...

It's a shame we can't fix that procedural mess with a $0.37 piece of lead.
That's what I'm into my Speer .357SIG GDHP for and I'm 110% certain a head shot I would do gratis will end that vile MF that has already been sentenced to die. I've never shot or killed anyone, but would not hesitate to do that corksoaker and still be able to sleep at night.

I could never go that far. Hickenlooper is only screwing up one state and half of us recognize his crap. Obama is screwing up the entire country and an entire generation of future Americans.

I would also argue that the damage Hick does is out of stupidity whereas Obama's evil is calculated, planned and so far pretty well executed.

The problem is, it's OUR state. [Rant1]

Agreed only thing I'd feel would be the recoil .
It amazes me that people have a problem putting someone down that had no regard for innocent people's lives. Criminals have to laugh at the judicial system. They can kill, rape, steal and all they get is compassion from democrats.

He already made it a political football.
He didn't want to be the white, liberal governor that sent a black man for a needle ride.
Hick, my disdain for your ilk is unbound.

SO let me get this right ....
Hick saying in effect " reelect me or I'll set him free" = NOT politicizing Dunlap...
a GOP candidate saying in effect " elect me and the sentence will be carried out " = Politicizing Dunlap ...
yeah that makes sense....
WTF?
Criminals feed off the indulgences of society's understanding.
I know it's a movie quote, but it is something I have found true. Especially concerning Democrats.

Isn't this similar to the felony they indicted Gov Perry on? Threatening to do something...(then doing it, in his case).

Abuse of power? Yeah. The law is the law. When elected officials somehow gained the power to pardon criminals, they became rulers.
Also, LOL @ Ebola sauce!

This needs to be promoted to the point of being blown out of proportion. The media always works for/protects the progressives. The effort and rhetoric needs to be over the top to over come the lack of media coverage and the defense of the progressives they will put up.
Need to beat this issue like progressives are beating Gardner with the abortion/women's rights issue.

First: Ebola sauce. Priceless.
Next, this is EXACTLY what Gov. Perry is accused of so why aren't we pursuing this against Hick? I mean really, why is it that the democratic party can lob anything they want our way yet the GOP refuses to play by the same rules - holding the Dem's to the same standards they hold us to? Are we supposed to be so blind and naive that we can't see the similarities in these 2 situations? Anyone else ever get the feeling that there's a group of people sitting around saying "Okay, we've got 'em believing that they actually have a say in the process and that there are actually 2 separate and opposing political parties running things; now how do we proceed with actually running things?"
Lastly: Dunlap: Either execute the POS or move aside and let someone who has the balls to do it get the job done. Dunlap is, was and always will be nothing but a violent cold blooded killer and he needs to pay the court directed price for his crimes. Period!
