chicken picatta.
I'm batching it at the cabin while Mrs. Hummer holds the home fort. Tonight it was pronghorn steak in the skillet with olive oil, a little cracked pepper and kosher salt; an ear of Olathe sweet corn, with tomatoes and green veggies from the garden. Leftovers of garlic pinto beans out of the crockpot made for a thoroughly happy meal.

DAMN YOU,
I do NOT miss living in MA or that region at all, but I really do miss all of the wonderful seafood at almost fair prices.
Whole Maine Lobster
Lobster Rolls
Scallops (both Bay & Sea)
NEW ENGLAND (not Manhattan) Clam Chowder
Fried Clams (big ones too, not these pencil eraser sized ones you find here)
Frutti Di Mare from Cafe Luigi in Bedford
Whole Raw Oysters by the 1/2 gallon bucketful
I had waffles for dinner last night. We're still trying to figure out what we want for dinner tonight though.

I wont miss the seafood too much since I'm originally from Seattle. But the lobster/lobster rolls and some good NE chowder will definitely be missed.
I won't miss anything else about MA though. The taxes, the people, the roads, the people, and the taxes.
I'll tell you what though, I do miss pacific/alaskan salmon. Looks like I'll have to make a few trips out to my parents to get some of that.
