Need some recommendations for ammo. Shooting for fun at paper and steel. Want something economical. 2 3/4"-3" shells shot from a pump gun. Also, where would I most likely find said ammo? Thanks guys.

Perfect time to buy ammo. It's dove season Monday. Ammo selection is based on shotgun and semi vs pump. If it's a pump but the cheapest bulk pack at wal mart etc etc. it's about $24/100. Also buy some clay pigeons and a thrower and get them air born for a challenge.

The cool thing about a pump shotgun is you can pretty much run any ammo you can get your hands on.

Hghclsswhitetrsh is spot on. Just go to any Walmart and pick up some target loads for cheap fun.

Stay away from anything that says "3 Dram equivalent". You don't need that extra punch. 1oz loads are plenty to do what you want.

As said, get the cheapest promo loads you can find at Wally World. I had some shotgun students a couple of weeks ago that brought some Wally stuff in 3 dram, punished them unnecessarily. They shot great, though!
