i am wanting to blue my mosin bolt to have it roughly match the rest of the hardware. and hell when mosin bolts are so cheap why not have a blued and a polished. i am going to have the bolt angled down by max shepherd bolt products and you get to choose between polished, matte and satin finish. any idea if one would be better or worse if i am going to have it blued afterwards? anyone know of a bluing service in the denver area that is good? will bluing hold up ok to normal wear and tear of a bolt? thanks all!

I had a source for hot bluing but he moved.
Depending on the welds it may show when blued.
I would leave it polished or you may be screwed.

Shit, that was a dumb coinkydink.....I sound like Dr Suess[facepalm]

I hear ya, but they are a dime a dozen so replacing them isn't hard.
