http://www.ijreview.com/2014/08/172697-isis-laptop-seized-syrian-rebels-hints-bio-warfare-attack/

Earlier this year, a moderate Syrian rebel group obtained a treasure trove of documents and videos from the laptop of an ISIS fighter in northern Syria.
Foreign Policy (http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2014/08/28/found_the_islamic_state_terror_laptop_of_doom_bubo nic_plague_weapons_of_mass_destruction_exclusive#_ ) verified that the computer belonged to a Tunisian university student, Muhammed S., who was studying chemistry and physics.
On the hard drive they found the standard jihad fare…with a twist:

Videos of Osama bin Laden
Manuals on how to make bombs
Instructions on how to steal cars
Lessons on how to use disguises in order to avoid getting arrested while traveling from one jihad hot spot to another
19-page manual on how to develop biological weapons
26-page fatwa, giving permission to use weapons of mass destruction against unbelievers

Before discounting the contents as the wishful thinking of madmen, consider two points.
First of all, in July, ISIS captured a former chemical weapons plant (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/09/isis-seizes-chemical-weapons-plant-muthanna-iraq) outside Baghdad that contained 2,500 degraded chemical rockets.
Secondly, as part of its ransom demands for an American woman it’s holding, ISIS demanded the US release “Lady al-Qaeda” Aafia Siddiqui (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2731164/ISIS-offered-swap-Foley-Lady-Al-Qaeda-Terrorists-wanted-return-MIT-graduate-jailed-U-S-planning-mass-casualty-strike-dirty-bomb-ebola-chemical-weapon-spared-children.html), an MIT-educated neuroscientist. Plans for infecting people with Ebola and creating a dirty bomb were found in Siddiqui’s possession when she was arrested.
There is no evidence that ISIS currently has biological or chemical weapons, but all evidence points to their desire to gain and deploy such weapons.

In short, the longer the caliphate exists, the more likely it is that members with a science background will come up with something horrible. The documents found on the laptop of the Tunisian jihadist, meanwhile, leave no room for doubt about the group’s deadly ambitions.
We also know that ISIS members are recruiting Americans (http://www.ijreview.com/2014/08/172373-another-one-bites-dust-2nd-american-fighting-isis-syria-killed/), who would have U.S. passports and the ability to travel back and forth to the Middle East.
Their strategy is becoming very clear.

Who gives a shit? Certainly not this administration, or the EU.
Spend more time coddling those poor unfortunate muslims, allow their rule of law to be practiced, quietly. Do not lock up known agitators, but let them wander the countryside. If they did, OMG, some of the locals would start looting and stealing shit, from their part of town. Condemn art, opinion pieces, anything critical of Mohammad and or islam as racist. BUT allow muslims to protest outside synagogues, newspaper offices, issue death threats to anyone who dares depict Mohammad as human. Blah, Blah, Blah.

If we were allowed 1/2 the tolerance of islam and muslims, towards Christianity, or Judaism They'd start beheading folks during outings to the store. Praise and coddle one, condemn and isolate the other. MMMMMMMMMM ain't working for me.

I suspect that this administration is allied with ISIS.

I need more 5.56 and 30.06 ammo. I figure I have enough to take out ... a lot of them. More wouldn't hurt though.

I doubt a foot foot invasion or firefight will ever be in our future. It will be an attack from above, be it planes, missiles, etc. more ammo is always good, but I doubt it would ever be used against a muzzy attack

Lets not forget the major military base in Syria they captured last week... Which, the weapons missing from Iraq are probably in a big shell game within Syria's military posts... It's only a matter of time. I'm wondering if this Administration doesn't consider them a threat until they get their hands on some weapons they can actually use to attack us, at home or abroad. In which case, they could already be on the South Lawn of the White House, and then it'll be too late for them to care.

Agreed. I suspect the NAACP is more likely to cause "street to street fighting" than ISIS. That said if ISIS pulls off something HUGE and you live in the affected urban area there could be a period of serious social unrest in the immediate area.

If you are going to encounter ISIS "fighters" on the street, I suspect it would be more like an active shooter at the mall type situation in which case all that 5.56mm and AR back home in the safe isn't going to do you any good so maybe it would be more prudent to start carrying more magazines with your EDC piece.

Buying a couple surplus gas masks might not be a bad idea though.

Well, ya know, there are plenty of them here already, along with others that may support them. Never can tell how it will come as our current government is clueless and even if they did know they probably wouldn't say anything. Just stick their heads in the sand and wish them away.

I have extra carry stuff as well for immediate protection and, I don't go to malls, they're not the safest places to be anyway.

Think of all the mosques built in this nation since 9/11.
Not a far stretch to figure a percentage of them are less than "moderate".

I think we would see more than "lone wolves".
