View Full Version : Experience with Aero Precision LPK!
I like their lowers, and the upper is nice, but the parts kit has disappointed. The pins in the kit aren't to spec, and I got to shoot the trigger today. Wow. Longest pull and furthest reset I've ever experienced. Oh, the trigger worked, but I kept thinking the trigger group was not functioning, until it did.
I don't know where they get this stuff, I assume they don't mfg it in house, but I won't do it again. Once bitten, and all that.
That's unfortunate. I really like the lower I got from them, but I hope this lack of QC doesn't transfer over to the barrel I just got for my next build.

That's bad luck. I have been ordering uppers, upper parts and lower for them for a while and so far their service and QC has been top notch. Did you try to call them? I did have one upper send to me with the wrong flash hider once, and they send me a replacement immediately.
I've not tried an LPK from them, but I just got an assembled upper and the parts on that we're fine. Myself, I would never be surprised to find a crappy trigger in an LPK. In fact, I'd be stunned to find anything but.
I haven't called them. I tend to make do, McGiver, or whatever to get done what I went into the shop to get done. I built a lightweight AR from their lower in the past, and it was fine, but I didn't get their LPK. I guess my feeling is that if you buy a LPK from my company, I would make sure that it was up to their "we do aerospace stuff all day long, to aerospace specs..."advertising line. If not, well, once bitten, and all that. I don't harp on vendors, I just learn the lesson and move on. Others go the second chance route, and that's fine. "Give them a chance to make it right"...well, they had a chance to make it right. The first time. Too many vendors of LPKs out there.
YMMV.

You are probably as likely to get a "bad" trigger from a $50 lpk from any vender. They don't make that stuff to be precision it's mass produced to work and thats about it.
At least you got the trigger parts. I ordered a kit from PSA once and they forgot to include the trigger.
I've just given up on LPKs with triggers and started ordering the PSA LPK without the trigger parts. I replace them anyway with a RRA or ALG.

^^^ this, I'm a whore for a good trigger so I never buy complete LPK's I buy them sans the trigger and normally drop in a geissele or RRA National Match trigger. depending on application and need.
