Are there EXIF tags on videos made with an iPhone?

My wife took a cool video, but for privacy reasons I don't want the location attached to it. My program that edits EXIF tags on photos doesn't work on .mov files, so I can't even see if it has the data attached.

Location services were turned on on her phone, so if it does record EXIF tags, they are there.

ALL I know is that it is possible to embed EXIF tags into .mov files... whether Apple did it on your device I don't know, as I avoid Apple products.

You may check the app store for EXIF wizard/viewer to see if other ones support reading .mov files... but I find that programs intended for Apple tend to be intentionally "dumbed down" to avoid questions. (main reason I avoid Apple products)

Yes, there is exif tags on videos including .mov files, there should be some apps that permit you to view such tags, but they maybe incompetent, you could try converting the video to another format, most of the times the conversion does not take the exif tag with it.

Sorry that I could not bring you a solution, but you could try with any video editing software, but if after all you are still concerned, I suggest not to upload the video to the interwebs and store it on a portable drive or any storage that does not have any access to the internet, since keeping it on the phone might be a risk, because of all of the social media apps ( Facebook ( and its messenger ), G+, Twitter, Instagram,etc ) most apps request access to the gallery,records, etc.

Thanks asmo... Good info, going to store this away... I've concentrated on avoiding the privacy issues rather than fixing issues that have already started.
