IDPA/ Fountain/ Practice?

I am interested in IDPA and would love to find someone who has knowledge on competing. Someone/ some people who would want to get together and practice or even set up stages and assist a new guy in what to expect. I just recently returned home from AFG and I have no idea where any ranges are located around the fountain area. Any help at all will go a long way. There is only so much you can learn from the youtube/ forum information.

Any of the below matches are excellent practice. Pueblo is less that 30 minutes from you and the indoor matches right by Peterson AFB are about 15 minutes from you.

Just want to add, there is also steel challenge, and uspsa in the springs. Pretty much anywhere you go as a new shooter, you're going to get the basic safety run throughs. Plus you'll also get the safety rules as they pertain to the sports. Hope to see you out at the range!
