Not sure if this is the right section, but I need some advice on where to start troubleshooting my ar bolt.

Background, bolt started in my blackout, when round is loaded it fires but does not eject. I put another bolt in the blackout and it cycles fine. Put the bad bolt in two other 223 ar's that function fine with other bolts and it does the same thing. Rounds fire but the bolt doesnt eject the case. Have to charge it by hand to eject and load next round.

Nothing is obvious when I look at the disassembled bolt everyone looks visually normal, ideas?

Get #60 rubber o ring from homedepot and install it over your ejector spring. You should be good to go.

I didnt even think of the obvious one LOL. Hoser is right, if it doesn't cycle instead, its gas issue.

Bolt has barely 500 rounds through it.

Good call....there sure enough was a primer up in there. Got to back off some of my reloads I guess.

Went ahead and put the o-ring in there too. Now to get it to the range next week.

The spouses stag had 260-275 rounds down the pipe.Cut the bbl for her sbr, while doing a reassembly inspection, noticed gas rings were shot. The bolt carrier assy when placed bolt face down, the bolt slide back in to the carrier. It's an easy check. Also confirm the gas rings are staggered on the bolt.
