Lost my Blue Heeler tonight. Several seizures over two hours. For 13 years he was my shadow.

Sorry to hear the news. 13 yrs is a good run for heelers. Buddy Blue is pushing 12 and I often curse the clock for it. Condolences from my heeler family.

He will be waiting at the bridge.

Very sad to hear. I'm sorry for your loss. There's a whole crew of COAR dogs on the other side, I'm sure they're looking after him.

It's never easy to lose a friend, a family member, a confidante, or even a bodyguard. It's even harder when you lose all of those at once because who you've lost is a pet that you cared for and they cared for you.

My thoughts and prayers go with you in your time of loss.

No other creature can replace one you've loved and lost - but you can help fill the hole by rescuing a pup in Dante's memory and honor.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Dante had a great friend and protector in you. He's in good company across the rainbow bridge.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

On the one hand, I wish the little guys lived longer. On the other, it gives us the opportunity to experience more of how each one is unique in their own special ways.

Sad to here, nothing like an old friend who's time has come, memories will always remain and never be replaced.

My Condolences :(

I hate threads like this SO much because I have an idea the pain you're going through and reading these words brings my suppressed pain too close to the front for my liking. It's difficult (even now for me sometimes) but think of the good times to get you through.

Rest easy Dante.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys/gals. He was one of those "one of a kind" dogs that I just got lucky with.

Customers would come in the shop just to see him. Not looking forward to this week...

I also hate these threads...but I read them to remind me how lucky I am. Wouldn't trade a day of it.

Wouldn't trade a day of it.

Exactly. We often think how hard it is when one of our pets passes and fail to remember that the good days outweighed the bad by an immeasurable amount. Hang in there...lots of us are sharing your pain.
