For those who don't do the FB thingy:

"Marcus Luttrell is a former Navy SEAL whose military career came close to an end in the mountainous border of Afghanistan and Pakistan during Operation Red Wing. On June 28, 2005, Luttrell and SEAL TEAM 10 were assigned to kill or capture Ahmad Shah, a high-ranking Taliban leader. Not long after embarking on the mission, the SEALs were engaged in an intense gun battle with local Taliban forces. After losing his fellow team members in battle and a failed rescue attempt, Luttrell badly wounded managed to walk and crawl seven miles to a village where he was given shelter by an Afghan tribe and was rescued by American forces soon after.

Luttrell shares his unparalleled story of survival in the 2007 #1 New York Times best-selling book, Lone Survivor. In January 2014, the book made a leap to the big screen in the blockbuster film, Lone Survivor, directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg as Luttrell.

If I didn't have to work tonight... and if it wasn't in the People's Republic of Boulder... I'd consider entertaining the idea of going.

I was there it was very neat to hear him speak about all of operation red wing and a lot of things he doesn't tell about in the book and even how the movie got it wrong. I work in boulder and know about the event two weeks before tickets went on sale. Sorry guys didn't even think to pass on the info until I sat down at the event. If there is something like this going again I will try to pass the info along as soon as I find out.
