Well I've been in the hospital for 13 days. Gallbladder was in the worst shape.
Gallbladder should be a few days recovery. I've ran the gauntlet of complications.
Hope it will only be a few days more but who knows at this point.

Damn. Talk about a full plate. Sorry about all your burdens. That gallbladder is just small-fries, compared to the rest of it. I certainly hope your FIL will pay the piper for what he's done. Hang in there. Don't do anything rash.

CPS will look to blame everyone and see what sticks. Your lucky you have a legit reason why you were not home. See what shakes out, have documentation and what the exact CPS wording is.

Your wife's dad needs to pay the fucking piper. Any dirt bag who slaps a kid over not eating eggs needs the boots put to him. If anyone hit my kid I would be fucking that person up stat. This is a matter that you cannot under no circumstances let go to the wayside.

Wow, I was looking forward to a post about the cold rainy weather tonight, not this. Sorry to hear about all the crap hitting you at once. Hang in there, it may be tough at the moment, but hopefully things will get better soon and you'll start getting some good news for a chance. Stay strong.

I think there is good chance he goes to jail or at least goes to court. CPS doesn't play games they will be all up in his shit. When a teacher reports abuse it is a big deal in CPS's eyes. Chances are you won't even have to press charges they will take care of it. But it is a good thing your in the hospital and have a excuse why he is watching your son.

Yeah, at the same time DO NOT TRUST CPS. It's kind of like talking to the cops, the less you say, probably the better. Depending on what your financial position is, I'd even consider talking to a lawyer before talking to CPS and making sure your bases are covered. CPS is a cobra that can bite any/everything it sees.

Wow, that is a rough patch. I hope things get brighter soon for you.

Jefferson County has a very good system. My Parents went through it with my nephew and his mom. While unpleasant circumstances, I was very impressed by their desire to do the right (not just expedient) thing by the kid. They are people too, and for the most part just want the kids to be safe, which is what everyone should want.

I just said a prayer for your family...sounds like all of you can use it right now.

Good friends of mine recently had a child that the ultrasound showed possible Downs, she is just fine.

I hope everything turns around and life gets easier for you.

That really blows.....get all the facts, document everything, don't volunteer information, don't make any threats or send emails, when you're about to lose your cool put your hands in your pockets and walk away. You're going to wear holes in your pockets, and log a few miles, but it won't do anyone any good if you are blamed for something. Be ready for counter accusations from FIL.

There is very little justice in the legal system, you want to stay on this side of it.

Wow...

As already stated, be careful of CPS

With Downs... Keep your wife in good spirits. Until there IS something to worry about don't. If she gets depressed, it will affect everything else going on in your life and become a spiral.

Not gonna say what I would do to anybody hurting my kid.

Gall Blader...... Looks like ya get a break to rest up for the rest of it.

Good luck and stay strong....... For everybody that depends on you!!

OK boy is with my mom (safe) till I get out of St. Anthony Hospital.
Had another procedure done today that set me back a few more days.
These tubes I'm bleeding off bial through became clogged. When the doctors
came to take me away for surgery they were unaware that this
Hospital removed my gallbladder back on the second!!! WTF!!!
They have to share info a little right. I've lost confidence in these people
to say the least. Also one of my drips doc said they pulled over 2000 cc after its second day. Im a
Dumb fucking bricklayer but........it holds about 25 cc before the nurse
Will drain it. She didn't drain it but about 5 times. I hope I get the hell
out of here period.

Well today was supposed to be my release date. Looks like that's not
going to happen. Still have fluid around my liver. Docs have pulled
out all the tubes from my face. No more tubes in my side. Man when
they pulled those drains it hurt like hell. If this shit isn't over soon I'm
going to need extra large bottle of BBQ sauce and a ride to the hills.
Day 19 of what should have been an in and out.

As far as FIL he's no longer part of my family. He also is blaming
everyone but himself. Went as far as saying my wife should have
lied to CPS on his behalf. This POS even says his grandson is
making this up. CPS told my wife that our son is more credible
than he is. Wife didn't say anything but I think they need to know
he works with kids at his church.
He has a court date early November.
I don't have much confidence in our legal system though.
As far as me acting out....its not going to happen. Being a gun nut/second
class citizen I've already played this game before. All someone has to do is lie.
He's already proven he's willing to do this. Point a finger say I own an unreasonable
number of weapons and I get sent down shit creek.

Agree with this. We had a daughter that was diagnosed with Russel Silver Syndrome. We were really apprehensive about it but has not been the way we imagined at all. Keep your head up.

I feel for you on this one. Our second showed multiple markers for Down's in the first ultrasound. Took us a week to get an amnio scheduled - worst week of my life. Luckily, the amnio showed that the markers were in error. I can only hope that you and your wife have the same results.

Who cares what the test says they are wrong most of the time. Who gives a shit if your kid has downs he will live a happy life and bring joy to yours. My oldest son is special needs and I woulnd trade the world for him, I would do anything for him. As to your FIL he will pay everything always come back around.

My guess is that CPS has already "inspected" your home. Perhaps it was cursory visit and maybe they'll come to do an in-depth "inspection" later (perhaps even with a warrant). After first-hand experience with El Paso County's version of this entity, I know to NEVER trust them. They claim to only have interest in the children's well being, but they'll look for (and find) a boogieman EVERYWHERE. They operate like the IRS - guilty until proven innocent. Protect your son from your FIL, but equally protect him and the rest of your family from CPS.
