I pulled some off already and think it looks much better, but now the wife and I are disagreeing over the last couple. The badges in question are the "hemi" in front of the doors and the "4x4" on the tailgate. You guys think they should come off or stay on?

I'd be more inclined to pull that monstrous rams head off the center of the tailgate.
I say if you are going to strip the emblems off, strip them all off.

Nice looking truck. I'd ditch the 4x4 logo and Hemi badge for the cleaner look. The 4x4 is pretty obvious anyway.
Take me on

And after you get those badges off you could swap out the door handles for some black ones.
And maybe do the color matched front and rear bumpers instead of the chrome.
That would give me an idea what my truck would look like without the emblems.

I have a gold bow-tie emblem you could replace that ram's head with if you need it. Just sayin'...

Oh, yeah. You should win that argument anyways. It's a truck and you're a guy. End of story. Why are you even asking her opinion? [Coffee]

I would, but on the Gen4 trucks the Ovary emblem isn't stick on, it mounts through holes.

Eh... I kinda like the chrome...
But you should post pics of your truck so I can see what mine would look like all black.

I seriously considered replacing the "RAM" emblem on the doors with a Ford emblem. Wife nixed that idea lol.

Cause as much as I hate to admit it it's (mostly) her truck. We bought it cause we needed a safer vehicle now that she's pregnant.
Also... YOU try winning an argument with a pregnant woman.

I debadged everything except the Cummins logo on the fenders and the Ram 2500 on my rocker panels.
Pull 'em all and plastidip the gate badge...along with the grille (easy AF to remove). That's how I had my old 1500 [MY11], unfortunately no pics though.
Like this.

Hmm I might have to pull it and do it over in flat black...

Get rid of them. The 4x4 is now obnoxious being the only one on tailgate.

Remove them all, looks bad with the ones you left on in my opinion. I personally like the sleek clean look.

Well this seems like a pretty unanimous call.
I'll post pics after wash and wax tomorrow.
Thanks guys!
Then spray paint flat black. Go tactical!

it's easy. Unfortunately 15 minutes later they deny EVER saying anything, after 30 minutes. Then you're a no good piece of shit , WHO IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU SHE'D NEVER BE STUCK IN THE POSITION SHE'S IN NOW!
Hypothetically of course. Wait till they redecorate, then complain your ideas just don't work for the room OR HER ? ?
then you have 25 years ~ of semi piece and quiet, till MENOPAUSE. Save the emblems, 3 weeks from now, she'll be asking you what happened to them.
I have a crapload of blue ovals if ya need......[LOL]
Dude I was with you until you said pregnant. Why are you poking a sleeping bear with a stick?
He just got back stateside. He misses the adrenaline rush.

Debadging, must be a Dodge thing. Chevy and Ford guys seem to leave their trucks alone.

Remove what you can (that doesn't leave holes). I'm also of the "remove all or nothing" school..
Looks good though.

uh, I don't think that's what he was poking, nor what he was using to do the poking.
Take them all that aren't pinned down.

So just to summarize, you got your wife pregnant (congrats btw!), now she has gone and bought a new truck (for her - "mostly") so that she can better protect your children, and you are arguing with her over the equivalent of truck stickers?
LOL just kidding, badges are dumb. Rip em off.

Should have just bought the truck they make that comes from the factory all blacked out, I've really been kicking the idea around about getting one.
Eh... I kinda like the chrome...

Mine isn't black but maybe this will give you an idea of what it might look like with color matched bumpers and door handles.

here you go, black no badges other than the cummins logo, and blacked out.

Nice trucks guys!
Well I debadged, washed, and waxed it... and then it started raining. I'll get a pic soon as I can.
I don't know why the lowest model line vehicle driver of BMW/MB/Audi/Porsche tend to "debadge" their 335i 535i/C300 E350/S4 S5/ Carerra. Then they tend to put a little trim package which make it look like M/AMD/RS/S models.
Who you fooling????
Well, at least it is better than those upbranding posers.

I'm debadging it because 1. I like the look of a clean vehicle, and 2. The giant gaudy bold chrome "RAM" on the side of the doors looked terrible and was way too bling-y for me... not because I'm trying to pass it off as a trim package that I don't have.

I don't think that was directed at you. More like dudes buying a used $9000 BMW and making it look like a used $20,000+ BMW M-series.
I like the clean look as well on a truck.
I'm just glad chevy finally got rid of those stupid door ding protectors/painted plastic on the doors that dis colored and collected dirt behind them.
i like the clean look on trucks as well

Finally had time today to take pics. Debadged, washed, waxed, and rained on. Next up, tinting the lights.

Have any of you tinted your lights? I mean with actual vinyl tint, not that stupid spray on shit. What brand did you use?
Looks great!...for a dodge!

What do you use to get the badges off? I have one of those thick dealer badges on my new car that I want to rip off.

There are lots of methods. Some people use a piece of fishing line to slide and separate the 3M foam tape stuff. Some people add a hair dryer or leave it parked outside during the heat of the day to soften it. I just pulled very slowly and evenly on all sides until an edge popped loose, then very slowly kept pulling evenly. Took no prep and 5 minutes including hitting the area with a clay bar afterwards.
If your purpose for getting the truck was to be in a safer vehicle, why would you tint the tail-lights and make it harder for other drivers to see you at night, in the rain/snow, or on the brakes?
Just sayin'.
It looks great without the badges.
ETA: I reread and realized I should see about getting a pregnancy test done on myself.

Look up on You Tube. All types of do it yourself videos on how to smoke out your lights. LED upgrades. Plasti dip parts to color of choice. I am still kicking around using some OD green or tan as trim for my black Tundra to match my AR.

Fishing line to saw off the emblem from the adhesive. Then push at an edge of the adhesive to roll it up enough to grab it, and pull at a 45* angle away from the tape, not back towards it, as if you were trying to stretch it out. A heat gun may be necessary if it's too cold out, but be careful not to heat it up too much or it'll just tear.

Spray on crap (like VHT Nightshade and similar products) is translucent, making them unsafe (and they usually end up looking like crap). Transparent vinyl is just that... transparent... letting 90% or so of the light through and simply coloring it rather than blocking it, ensuring visibility in all conditions.

Ah, gotcha.
Yeah, I made the mistake once of responding with "Eh, I don't really care. Out is fine" when the guy at Firestone asked how I wanted my tires mounted. That was 5 years ago and I've yet to make that mistake again lol.
