so i was in the market for a suppressor. first i stopped off at a place in loveland to ask some questions. after 20+ minutes of standing and waiting the service sucked and they were not much help, just rude.(i know that will upset people to hear) so i looked on to other places to buy one.
A woman's husband my wife works with had said something about a place in longmont. A phone call between the wife's and a few hours later we were in longmont and a new friend took me over to meet Oliver at Iron Ridge Guns. At first you walk in to this little office and then back to the shop. it was like walking into a strip club for the first time. A sweet shop that builds some great stuff. he showed me some stuff they do and then pulled out some suppressors. showed me some budget to high end suppressors. explained everything about them and the differences. not once did i feel like there was any obligation to buy. so i bought one. we walked up to the computer and i gave him my DL and he asked me some questions. i then signed a few place's and he gave me all the paper work i needed. finger print cards and a envelop addressed to ATF.

the customer service was A+. more than expected. i just wish they sold more guns and accessories. with their work/customer service ethics they would be the #1 gun store in colorado. we need more people like this who dont take their customers for granted.

great job Iron Ridge and thank you

Hey, thanks for the post and the review of Iron Ridge Guns. Until this post I had not heard any thing about them. The website looks very good as well as the products they have for sale.

I will say that it is very rare to have good service in a firearms store as of late.

I would also say good for you, found myself in your same position in that same store a number of times. "Loveland Firearms Store" I now shop elsewhere.

Why shop there and keep making excuses as to why they are treating me so badly, it's not their fault things are the way they are right. Or is it?

I will never wait in line 20+min. again!

Never looked back!

Oliver at Iron Ridge guns failed to respond to a RFQ for a refinishing job for 2 FAL kits I have and am in the process of building. He said he had to have photos of the kits which was a real PITA (a FAL kit is a FAL kit you know.) After getting the photos together of the kits and sending them off. Oliver never responded.

Albeit this was just an RFQ and not the biggest $$$ transaction, but I had every intention of letting them do the job because they are close to work for me, but I won't do business with them after getting the runaround like that. Had a Remington 700 5R Milspec I wanted to have painted but they won't be doing it.

On the other hand I have had good experiences at the "Loveland shop" but I go there knowing what I want and not needing a great deal of assistance. Their prices are reasonable and they have things in stock. YMMV.

I had Oliver do a paint job on a 6920. They did a great job on the gun and the time frame he gave me was right on. If I lived closer I would do more business with him. A+ in my book.

i know of oliver great guy done some tranfers for me. it seems he is very busy man building alot of diffrent plat fourms for diffrent customers. i will say i too have had the run around a few times. i want somthing engraved on my lower as well gave him some pictures and contact info never once got a call back from his guy that deals with that line of work or email its been a year. not really a big deal tho, but from a few friends i have i will go elsewhere for that type of work i think he is just to busy to work on some things its part of the job he is making alot of .308 recivers right now in his new CNC machine from my understanding. which is great i am looking foward on hearing how they shoot on the range. but if i want somthing coated i will go to him, but for engraving i think i will have better luck with a couple companys i have found in colorado and around the usa who only deal with engraving.

things might have changed but last i was in there they where just swamped with orders due to the election and fear of a possable ban. and even had to close the shop on mon to customers just to get cought up on things.

Oliver is a bit flakey, you have to watch him. I had him do a Tx for me and he kept missing the Fed Ex guy. So, he was going to charge me more since he had to go up the street after the guy one day.....
