This morning after his morning update I heard a little PSA spot he did for the HSoffreakin'US!

(it was the "good stewards of God's creatures" one).
Someone needs to get the truth about this so-called "non partisan" group.
Rushbo may find himself Zumbo'd here soon.

I don't have a problem with this but perhaps I need to be informed of something. I know about the American humane society or whatever they are called. I don't know about this HSUS. What is there story?
I have no problem with him doing a spot for them as long as it's along the lines of Illegal dog fighting and cruelty to animals type cases, like the one that was close to me when I was in Texas.
Just my .02 but Michael Vick should have been thrown into a ring with all the winning Pit Bulls and see how many running yards he would gain then.
In Texas there was a guy who took a Golden Lab, pored gasoline on him, lit it on fire and watched the Lab run down the street on fire while he filmed it and laughed his ass off. I can tell you this... the guy lived 4 houses down from me and he was lucky the cops picked him up first or his ass would have been the one running down the street if I were to get my hands on him.
Like any cause, there are two sides. Cruelty to animals like the case I stated is something I'm against. Hunting and population control of pest and vermin I'm ok with.

I think they are one in the same.

HSUS is basically Peta with a better PR front end. They're less shrill, but basically after the same things and NOWHERE NEAR a "non-partisan group dedicated to helping animals".
They want to ban ALL hunting, ALL research using animals, eventually want to end the keeping of animals as pets and have joined with gun control groups in the past in attempts to ban hunting guns.
They aren't even remotely the same thing as the Humane Society that manages your local animal shelter.

Guess they are a Peta type group.
The hunting ban shit will never fly.

If Rush is going to associate with these characters he might as well strip down naked, paint "Meat is Murder" all over his body and throw red paint on people wearing fur.
We should write Rush an email letting him know that he's a freaking puppet.

Apparently there is an effort under way to get the word to Rush

Hopefully the only reason they're still running is out of some sort of contractual obligation.

Mildly off topic but I need to rant a little........ I got paid a visit by my local Lakewood animal control officers yesterday. Probably some peta pusher called em in on me. I got a notice of animal cruelty and neglect. No ticket but a "warning". I informed the ACO that the reason my dog walks funny is that he is 13 and never a city dog till now nor around libs till now. Damn overly concerned animal lovers. Someone felt the need to "rat" on me but didn't want to take the time to ask me about why my dog walks bad. His damn hips are going out from chasing my ass up and down mountains in WY. He's is all doped up and feelin good but until his quality of life really heads south I'm keeping him around. I just don't enjoy people who meddle in my business. The ACO even wanted my vet info to see if I'm treating him as I claimed to be. WTF?! Loser ass want to be cop(s). LEAVE ME ALONE! Furktards!
He is trying to save some face. he has been made to look like an extremist by the liberal media. This will get him some free publicity, save some face, maybe get paid and in the end, if they conserve more animals, it gives me a better opportunity to kill them during hunting season.
I agree with what RRD3 said, and have the same basic philosophy.
hunting ban will never come about. cutting down on the amount of land can happen, but most tree huggers want the open and free country as well which means those lands will stay protected and national forests will always allow hunting. private land is hard to get on, but the DOW does an excellent job with pilot programs and getting access to private property, might just cost a little bit more, but in the end there will always be land to hunt on and animals to take. They can't stop you from doing it anyways if you are starving, desperately in need of food. Beats holding some guy up at a grocery store or jackng a wal-mart truck or something.
