Mine HATES the vet. I once walked him, on a leash and collar, through the vet's door. He stopped at the entrance and I kept going. The leash/collar was in my hand but no dog was attached. He just stood there looking at me. The full waiting room got a good laugh.

I've heard people say dogs and cats (and other animals) don't feel emotions. I say that's total and complete nonsense. If you can't see the emotion, in this case mostly fear or apprehension, in the eyes of those dogs and cats there's something wrong with you. When you see the videos of dogs welcoming people home after a long absence it's nothing but pure love and happiness.

Those are some really great photos.

Yep, dogs can surely have and show emotion. When I carried my Golden in for his demise, he knew exactly what was going on. Once we sat down and I put his head on my lap, he just loooooooked at me totally motionless and he totally knew what was up... and I freakin lost it right after he was gone. Excuse me while I get this dust out of my eyes......I'm waiting for his buddy to pass to spread their ashes together up at one of our regular camping/fishing spots.

Hahahaha, great thread to start the day! My pup gets to go on Wed for her annual check up (4 yrs old), Lab/Rottie rescue from Dumb Friends 3 years ago. She loves going and they love seeing her, first dog I ever had that enjoyed going lol.

That's great. Thanks for sharing.

Ours LOVE our vet. We're convinced they sometimes injure themselves or even fake injury just to get to go see her. lol

The only person my Aussie growls at (except out of control gerbers) is the vet. We can pass him walking down the street and I'll hear a growl. Too many "not fun" trips will do that, I guess.
