View Full Version : Step drill bits
Anyone know where I can buy the step drill bits needed to install sling swivels? None of the big stores seem to have them.

I can...
I use them daily.. yes daily in my job and have used the same ones for almost 5 years.
If you are just cutting mild steel, aluminum, brass or wood they work just fine.
I even used them to cut larger holes in truck frames about once a month.
A step drill in no way replaces a standard index. I always pre-drill a pilot hole.
Decause of the design they are difficult if not impossible to sharpen, but at $9 for a 3 piece set they are a steal when on sale.
