Bottom line: Legal immigrant from Australia can't be barred from applying for a permit to own a firearm in Hawai`i.

Now, if they'd only do away with the whole permit/registration thing and the stupid magazine capacity limits ...

I willingly spent $2500 during the bad for a Colt Sporter Match HBAR that had been butchered into a carbine with a Bushmaster barrel. While living on Oahu. The store is named Magnum Firearms now but I can not remember if that was the name back then....

I still have that rifle because I refuse to get rid of something I spent that much money on out of spite. But I have restored it to a 20 inch HBAR A2 configuration.

Hawaii sucks donkey balls when it comes to gun laws. This is a step in the right direction but it still sucks balls!!

On a related note, I just drove all the way around the island of Maui today. I think every road sign I saw had some sort of bullet holes in it.

Makes me think maybe having a few more shooting ranges might make it a safer place.
