I have a question regarding Concealed Carry. Under CRS 18-12-204 Permit contents – validity - carrying requirements

(3) (a) A person who may lawfully possess a handgun may carry a handgun under the

following circumstances without obtaining a permit and the handgun shall not be considered concealed:

(I) The handgun is in the possession of a person who is in a private automobile or in some other private means of conveyance and who carries

the handgun for a legal use, including self-defense;

So my question is this: Would a wheelchair/powerscooter qualify as “some other private means of conveyance”
Thanks

Roger

Probably not, as you can continue to use the wheelchair at and inside your destination. However, I'm not even close to a lawyer, so that's just my opinion.

I'm no lawyer either, but the word "in" is probably key. I wonder if it would fly if you were riding a bicycle.

Its an open question, so the issue is - can you afford to be a test case?
