View Full Version : Transferring pictures from Android phone to Ipad?
Is it possible to link the two of them via Bluetooth? I'm not having any luck.
The in laws are coming by soon and wanted to show them some pictures on my phone but thought putting them on the bigger screen would be nice.
Thanks.
Email them to yourself?
Thought about that but there are a lot of them. Trying to find a quicker, easier way.

Perhaps this may work? Uses a free Android app: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/smartphones/send-files-between-android-and-ios-with-fast-file-transfer/
My phone pictures automatically upload to the cloud, which can then be accessed from anywhere. Would it be too much of a hassle to directly connect phone to computer, pull down the ones you want, then transfer to Ipad?

IPad requires iTunes for transfer. So first transfer your pictures from android to a folder on computer, then sync that folder to iPad in iTunes. Might be easiest that way, used to do that when I had apple stuff.
Might have to try some sort of app. Or maybe try the cloud thing. Never set that up though. I could probably transfer them to the PC but it really only gets turned on once a year around tax time so might not be worth all the effort.

I heard that is an issue for some of the celebrities out there...
Thanks, guys. Think I can upload them to Google Drive from the phone and then pull them up on my iPad that way. Working on it now.

Can you mirror your phone to a TV? My son can with his.

Not sure. Lol. Never tried that one. I am doing good to surf the internet and check email. Might give that a try some time if I get bored.
Dropbox
+1 for Dropbox! It's free, simple to use and works extremely well. You can even set it to automatically upload all your photos as soon as you're back on your home network (or use your cell if you have enough data), keeps you from losing any great pics or videos should your phone become damaged. Now if you're famous and taking naked selfies you may want to avoid saving your pics to the cloud. :)

+1. get a chromecast dongle, plug ot on your TV and voila. Once the in laws are gone, return the chromecast to target!

Might even be easier than that. My son has a Samsung phone and we have a Samsung TV. Mirroring just takes a few settings on the phone and the TV.
Dropbox
beat me to it.
Dropbox. I link phones and several computers and it's easy-peasy and you can also share links in the cloud.

use an app called photosync. It's on both android and ios. You lot the app up on both. Click to transfer and will give you options. Can click on all and it will transfer to iPad. Just make sure you're on the same WiFi network. Also works with computers. I don't send pics to cloud. I just use app and backup to computer
Thanks for all the good advice. Got mine moved over with my Google Drive thingy. Hopefully all of this info will come in handy for someone else as well.

I synch with google drive through google plus. I don't use the social networking but it is nice for saving and sharing images. The google + app takes some getting used to..

I don't cloud, but it is pretty easy to load them onto the computer and then HDMI the laptop to the big screen, when we share photos we usually use the livingroom tv
