Looks like we have been invaded! I look this morning and almost every damn forum has the same shit in it!

Isn't there a way to block that or stop them? I guess it just makes a bigger PIA for the mods to clean up

update: pulled all his posts and banned him and his IP.


best thing to do:

DO NOT POST IN THEIR THREADS and contact a MOD if you see it hasn't been dealt with in a timely manner.

I always just hit the report button.

any chance you can look into changing the "can not report more than every 60 seconds" thing. I tried to report them all, but waiting a minute on each one when it takes me 5 seconds kinda stinks!

I'll see what we can do. if it's one spammer, just making a notice on one of his posts is all we need as we'll pull all his posts and lock his account and IP.

Thanks for everyone's patience, understanding and assistance.
We're aware that the spammers are becoming more sophisticated. We're working on a few things in the background. We hate it just as much as you do!

used to go by the bar in Spenard area of Anchorage that was the birthplace of the "Spamtones"... there was even a rumor got hit with an injunction from Hormel at one time- until they explained that they were NOT making fun of Spam, they were paying homage..
