Like the title says I have found two guns I like but not sure which one to pick. I found a Wilson combat CQB with a green frame. I also found a SW performance center. What are the pros. and cons. Would I be better off with something else. They are used and both are going for about 1500.00.
Thanks
George

Wilson dude, all the way.
Agreed
Wilson is the better gun without a doubt. It will also appreciate more than the S&W.

I would go for the CQB. $1500 is a good deal, or I got ripped off. I can’t speak for the S&W but I love the Wilson. I’ve never had a problem with mine. It is one of the most accurate handguns I’ve owned.

George,
I'm not sure you would be better off, but for that kind of dough I would also consider an new STI gun.

I'm not sure I would spend $1500 on a used one.
That and I've only sold MY handguns if they were not 100% reliable.... maybe these are someones problem children?

I am leaning towards the CQB. Thanks for all the replys.
Wilsons are waaaaay overpriced and for what? Some 30 LPI machine checkering and some night sights?
Get the Smith.
I have both a Wilson Elite Professional and a S&W 1911,it has to be Wilson all the way. Their customer service is by far and away the best in the industry even on used pistols. S&W has not been in the 1911 business long but they do make a good gun, but it does not even compare to the Wilson.
wilson all the way never had an issue with mine
I have never had any trouble with Wilson, and I have seen those things ~70 pieces. Same with Les Baer, good fitting and general workmanship comes as standard with Wilson and LBC ;)
However, almost all S&W 1911 pistols I have seen have been pretty poorly fitted. Loose hood fitting, barrel standing on barrel link etc :(
Price difference to Wilson is not only for 30 lpi front strap checkering...
Wilson, definitely.

Another option would be to get a cheap STI Trojan and take it to a local smith to have it modified with what you want on it. It will be compariable in cost, have a better trigger, and have the parts YOU want instead of the parts the manufacturer wants.
If you are thinking about this option, PM me and I'll share a very good local smith that know's the way of the 1911.
