Looking for opinions/recommendations on the best metal to metal glue/epoxy.
I'm looking to glue a piano hinge to thin sheet metal. Obviously with the piano hinge it will be moving but not under any heavy load. One wing of the hinge will be anchored with screws to a wall the other moving a thin grate.

Hysol
This is a Loctite product. Used in aerospace applications. Wicked strong. Kinda pricey. Make sure both pieces are really clean. Helps to rough up the surface a bit with 100grit sandpaper. Then clean again with water and dish washing soap. Rinse thoroughly, of course. Once it's clean, don't touch with your skin as the oils will degrade the strength of the bond.

Automotive panel adhesive. The base metal will fail before the glue bond will.

There are a bunch of different versions, but yes, the high-strength Hysol products are top of the class. There are several versions of it on Amazon, but the highest strength, heat cure products you can only buy from industrial supply houses.
JB Weld...they have some good products as well. Likely the application method and cure method is going to control which one works best. Just remember, everything else equal, the epoxy based adhesives will have a higher shear strength than the Methacrylate, Urethane (usually more flexible), Cyanoacrylates (instant adhesives like SuperGlue), and Neoprenes (contact adhesives) while also having better ability to fill, which means a better bond and superior strength.
There are very few problems that cannot be solved with a proper application of JB Weld.. For those few times when JB Weld isn't appropriate the only other option is liberal amounts of HE.
Pretty sure I've seen a thread where a guy used jb weld to hold a motorcycle piston together to get himself home from a road trip.

The problem is usually how do you get them to keep quiet while it cures.

We can weld it. Or you can rivet it, last chance JB weld, have seen engine blocks held together till permanent repairs were made.
