Just a question, but has anyone have and or heard any information lately about this rifle?? Like is it ever going to be released? I know that it will be released for LEO and Military first, but when is that going to be? I keep trying to research it, but I always find the same info, not much. So if anyone has some new intel, it would be appreciated, I want this rifle!!!!
P.S. I hope I put this thread in the right area ;)

I heard rumor somewhere that they were planning a semi-auto soon.
I am hoping it comes out soon as well. seems like a very cool design!

It appears that Remington will also be releasing a version under their
MIL/LEO program. Can anyone say military trials?
Military contracts (if any) would be coming out of Remington's new MPD division.

Rumor has it that Bushmaster would be the entity producing the civilian version.
Remington has a better experience base with .gov contracts, but this is all that's floating around the rumor mills I know of.

I think the lead runner for the new military contract is going to be H&K.
At least that's what I've heard so far.

If the vaunted "HK 416" is the trial winner, I guess then I'd have to ask why SOCOM is deploying large numbers of the SCAR in practical long term trials?
The replacement contract keeps changing and evolving. The ACR has as good a chance as any right now. Otherwise I'd have to ask why the management at Remington would even bother taking on the cost to prep for competition and production.

I like 'Masada' name better.
I like the Masada name better as well, but ACR is a better .mil name. I am thinking FN will stand a great chance, as well as HK. maybe remington and bushmaster are trying their hand, but know in the end they can sell the civilian version off just like FN is doing now as well as HK. get enough punlic interest and millions of rounds shot and the .mil may take a closer look.
