For some reason they decided to utilize a hotel down in that part of town so I need a quality resteraunt recommendation in that area. (Not a suit and tie affair) but a well thought of restaurant. Not a chain if possible.

A lot of companies take their employees to Cool River. I'm never that impressed with it though.

It is not in the tech center but is the Buckhorn Exchange a worthy candidate or is it just your typical steak restaurant leaning on its history a little too much. ( I realize they are one of the few with a lot of oddball game meats)

For tech center eats I go with Fleming's for steak and Hapa for sushi. I tried Del Frisco's once, it's good as well.

Flemming's is great and pretty casual for a nice steak house. I took the wife there for her birthday last week and it was as good as always.

Everyone beat me to it. Just comes down to what you want to spend. Look at their Menus online.

I'm glad the only times I've eaten there is when a vendor is trying to sell me something.

I like it a lot, but it's not cheap. If they have Yak filet on the menu get it. I thought it was delicious.

Their Yak was the best steak I've ever had.

Wife and I like Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

I do not like the Papadeaux they have here in town. Nothing about food resembles the food you get at any of the Pappas Brothers restaurants down in Houston. Papadeaux, Papacitos, and Pappa Bros Steaks. The "Midwestern" flair to the cooking just makes it unpalatable for my taste compared to down there where they are more familiar with Cajun and southern flavor.

Seasons 52 in Park Meadows - we've eaten there twice and had good food and service.

Don't go to the Buckhorn unless you can eat while being stared at by a lot of pairs of eyes. [Coffee]

A lot.

all good choices so far. it's a chain, but doesn't feel like it--but i like Pappadeaux right there by the landmark. if you go into the landmark, there all all manner of good places.

I got spoiled on the original Papadeaux restaurant and the satellite branches just do not compare.

Del Frisco's
^^^^^This for steak. Shanahan's if you like everything else that goes with a steak. Been to Flemings and steak was tough and bland.

For casual dining, I really like Hacienda. Lots of options....although I almost always go with the steak 'changa with spicy green chili.

Hacienda has been around for like 20 years and just recently put a sopapilla on their menu. [facepalm]
