There are only 4-5 hospitals in the country that are equipped to handle a virus like this, and contain it properly... unfortunately this hospital is not one of them.

23 beds total in the country with BL4 containment ability. 23. Period. 4 facilities.

If we panic we lose but if we don't take this seriously.......

The issue is that if this becomes 'common' it will change us by a greater magnitude than 9/11 ever did. People will be afraid to even do busines with each other. Family's will even be wary of each other. Stay safe but don't panic.

I'll let everyone know how Dallas is when we go there next weekend. Shoot, let's plan a site-wide meet up 5-21 days after we get back. Lots of handshakes, we can shoot each other's guns, I'll prepare all the food...it will be a real rockin good time.

Overconfidence is what may hurt us. I hope this is a good lesson that protocol can be breached or be inaccurate. we, CO, are close to TX but far enough to be prepared for this virus.

From what I've been reading this could also have a huge impact on an already bad economy.

It was a containment failure as soon as they let it in the country.

Yup.

Had some lefty tell me it would have gotten here anyway so why suspend flights or anything like that.

Ya can't beat that "I give up" attitude...well you can but it wouldn't be nice...or legal.

This ought to prove interesting. I hate gearing up for this crap. letting that nurse on the plane may have just set the ball rolling.

One new case affecting a nurse in France. Local government is not taking any risk: she will be treated in a military hospital, where the staff has been told that they will be quarantined on site prior to her arrival.

I can come across as being a dick and usually do not post anything unless I think it is important. two things about this

1) Sending troops to contain this crap in Africa is asinine, what the hell is wrong with the governments of the affected African nations taking care of their own shit. In a conspiracy thought, infect 5000 U.S. troops, they come back and infect 5000 more and on and on, then the current administration can have it 's army of illegals and thugs and who cares if they become infected.

2) I work at a shithole that has all kinds of "people" coming into it that are already infected with Aids, Hepatitis, and every other 3rd world disease that junkies spread around. Not to mention enough Africans that come in and who knows how many of their relatives are flying into Denver INTERNATIONAL Airport. Just this morning my meeting consisted of lame precautions because ,,, well because the admin here is lame. Full of real libtards that feel they don't want to hurt anyone's self esteem or feelings even though they are carrying death dealing virus'....
