Makes you wonder what precipitated the cops pulling them over and what the reasons were for wanting to arrest them.
Given that there was a patient in the ambulance, unless they were doing something highly illegal the Staties should have followed the ambulance to the hostpital and addressed their reasons for the pull-over once the patient was handed off to the hosp. staff.

Failure to yield is what I heard the cop say to the driver on a different video (dash mounted camera from patrol car). As far as to why the cop wanted to arrest.....its because the medics got mouthy(?) with a good ole boy and the guy who was to be going downtown wasn't born white. My opinion on the white thing!
The Super Trooper got suspended so his superiors thought he was out of line. I feel the guy could/should have gave the driver a warning at the hospital. I see the flashers were not on so I know the Trooper has/had no idea a patient was on-board but still. What happened to professional courtesy? I would want to be buddies with medics if I were a cop.
There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. And discretion always wins.
If you really think he needs a ticket, let him finish what he's doing, then he can sign it and be on his way.
This way was the wrong way. IMHO

Ummm a Trooper Found about 1k pounds of mj in a Fire Truck just not to long ago.....
Having spent considerable time on a bus, I believe the officer was in the wrong. In my experience, we always had a friendly and team like environment with the police. Emergency services should be a team.
Just because the Ambulance was not on a code does not necessarily mean it wasn't important to get the patient to the hospital. With that in mind and taking in account both videos I saw, it seemed that the officer simply pulled them over to give them an ear full. If he was going to a call that was important, why would he have pulled over an ambulance and spend the time chewing them out. Finally, from the videos I saw it seemed that the bus was already pulled over when he reached them, so it seemed that the bus had given the right of way.
He seems to me to be the bad apple.

So should they expect to find illegal drugs in any EMS vehicle?
That statement has no barring on the subject.

So they DIDN'T pull over a fire truck. They pulled over a 18 wheeler carrying at fire truck. That's a huge difference. No EMS was involved. [Kick1]
