Well figured I would sign up as I am moving to Boulder on Thursday from Phoenix.

Lived in Phoenix all of my 25 years so not looking forward to the winter. I am a former LEO and have been a shooter since I was about 8.

Hope to get to know some of you guys as I am active in the AZ gun community and have made lots of good friends...

I am guessing there are no decent gun shops around Boulder so where should I go for transfers?

And just for the hell of it here is a picture of my two most recent additions, Dan Wesson 10mm and ar15...

Welcome! It sounds like CO will be better off for having you here.

We have a few FFL's near Boulder so it shouldn't be too difficult to get your transfers as you need/want 'em. (PanamaDave with ProTekt Solutions comes to mind).

Lots of great folks on this site. Make sure that you jump into the conversations as the site is only as good as the posts we all make to it.

Welcome!! Hope you enjoy the Peoples Republic of Boulder!! [ROFL1]

Lol saw that coming. My GF goes to school at CSU and I have visited a handful of times. I definitely enjoy the low key lifestyle of living compared to Phoenix...

Thanks for the advice on FFL's and the warm welcome...

Hey good to hear there's at least some gun folk around here (I'm in Louisville). I just moved here also and have found the gun shops a little light in the area. I assumed there was probably a lesser demand in the Boulder area.

Since I'm new, I've been looking for places to shoot in the mountains. I'm not a fan of indoor shooting but prefer the dirt road for a few miles to an uninhabited area sort of thing. Is there anything around here like that? There's GOT to be!
