Hi folks,
As you can gather, I am not from State-side. The reason for picking the Colorado AR15 forum is twofold for me: 1) you guys are fighting an irrational "high-capacity" magazine ban and 2) my uncle, aunt and cousins emigrated to the US 20 years ago, and they will be moving to Colorado Springs from Meridian Mississippi within the next year or so. I will be visiting at some point, so I might as well join a forum pertaining to the geographic area!
My shooting experience is limited: I do IPSC here in the RSA, which includes 3-Gun competitions. My firearms are 2 HK USP9 pistols (one which I EDC), a Glock 19, a Winchester 1300 and a Belgian FN FAL. I have ordered a DDM4 V5 through our local Daniel Defense agents, and she should be arriving here by the first week of December. It will be my first AR15, and I am extremely excited about owning one! In fact, I will probably order a second AR15 next year...haven't decided which one yet.
Seeing as the AR is more American than apple pie, I gather that an American forum is the best place to trawl for good information, and learn more about your firearms culture.
Thanks for having me.
