The shop isn't exactly your tactical headquarters, all he carries is muzzleloading and cap & ball guns, but it is a great shop. I've been in a few times and the owner has always taken the time to help me with questions and suggestions about different balls, conicals, and loads.
He has a lot of brass for reloading and a good supply of muzzleloading gear for hunting season, and his prices aren't too bad considering he was the only shop I found that had FFFg in stock.
I love this shop!!!!
Jim is an awesome guy, always ready to help - even with totally trivial questions. His knowledge doesn't stop at black powder. If it's an old rare firearm, chances are he knows something about it. He looks a little intimidating, but don't let that fool you. I even buy my 4F BP from him for high power rocketry.....
For example.
I happened to mention having a Martini-Henry and how much the ammo was. He pulled out a book and proceeded to show me brass that could be cut down and re shouldered to make what I wanted. He even offered to get me a name & # of a guy that could help.
OOPS, forgot to post this.
His shop is on the west end of the building next to the pawn shop - S. side of Colfax.

and he usually has large pistol primers in stock... seems like a decent place/person to deal with and they are a couple blocks away!

plus, they sell ballistol there, so that's worth a trip
I stopped in here today and met and talked to Jim. Super nice guy and was very helpful. Seemed like he had a good selection of stuff and was very friendly.
I'm sure I will be going back there again!
