While I feel empathy for the families for their loss, I also feel that some misguided, and misinformed people will swoop in and take advantage of the tragedy.

From Sandy Hook To SeattleIf there's anyone who understands the heartache families in Marysville, Washington are feeling in the aftermath of Friday's shooting, it's Nicole Hockley. She lost her 6-year-old son in the massacre at Newtown Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary. Now, she has a message for Marysville.
By coincidence, Hockley happened to be in Seattle on Monday evening. She's here to support I-594, a new control measure that will soon be voted on by Washington voters. The trip was planned long before the shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, but she's glad to be here during this difficult time.
She says the images of student running from the Snohomish County high school instantly took her back to the day her son was killed.
"Even just thinking about it now, I can feel my heart start to accelerate," she said. "It still shocks me and sends me right back to the terror and anxiety that I felt then, and knowing what these kids are going through and what parents are going through."
For those unaware- I-594 is a universal background check bill much like what we had rammed down our throats here.
We are fighting a losing battle. It's frustrating.

It is much worse and Bloomy and Gates have pumped some $10 million into getting it passed.

Yeah I bet she sure was glad. Probably cheered out loud.

Like Ben Shapiro told Piers Morgan: "Standing on the graves of dead children." Shameful bunch.

I hope the voters of Washington show some common sense and send a strong message back to Bloomy and his crew of fools - "Not in my state!"

Doubt it will happen.. Much like Colorado the population of the Seattle metro area is greater than the rest of the state and the populace is very liberal on top of that.
sent from a soup can and some string..

Unfortunately Seattle has someone on their city council elected under the Socialist ticket. http://www.seattle.gov/council/sawant/

There is not a grave these people are unwilling to dance upon in pursuit of their intended goals. It's the same the world over: our national team's soccer captain was murdered in his home over the weekend by criminals (people who tend to not pay laws much heed), and legal gun owners have to defend their rights in wake thereof. America is a nation of over 300 000 000 people for goodness sakes. I am sure there are more folks that die from choking on Bigmacs annually than there are in "active shooter" situations. These events are statistically negligible, but they are given so much media attention you would swear they are the most important issues facing Americans.
