I posted in the for sale section asking for help on pricing how much a couple things were worth and it was deleted. My question was,

What does a GSG-5 with less than 500 round go for, and a complete cmmg flattop upper with WASP coating with under 200 rnds of reloaded ammo go for? The prices are all over the place and I'm looking for realistic value.

NOT A FOR SALE AD, just need ass istance . thanks

Find the lowest price you can on the interwebz, take at least 25 % off of that (due to being used and the round count ). If they don't sell after a week, lower your price even more....... Or throw in some extras to make the price more appealing.

Thanks for the tip. Problem is the cmmg goes for $500 too $1,000 new. Huge gap like a hot dog down a hallway

Since you didn't include the cmmg upper was UNFIRED the pricing of new doesn't apply. Urban Wolf inquired on a price for one of his uppers. Told home the same thing we're telling you, $350 - 500. Plus S&H. I'd probably sell it for $30 w/out BCG.

If you feel your upper is worth more by all means list it for more. it's your parts, your pricing. HOWEVER before you do list it. Take a good look at the uppers posted here. See the post date vs sold date. Surprisingly 98% of them don't have a SOLD or SPF in the thread.

For what it's worth i listed my GSG a few months back for 300 and didn't have any interest whatsoever.

Im pretty much done trying to sell any pre-owned firearms. They just aren't going to bring what I want on the secondhand market. (Thank you mandatory background checks.)

got it.... Wait for the next school shooting, or Obama speech and sell!

Thanks all for the input... Guess I will keep shooting and wait on getting into Bow hunting

Between that and the prices on new guns dropping like a rock, we're just better off holding on to them for now.

I quit selling guns a long time ago for exactly this reason, and others...

Yep. Hard to move an upper for four to six hundred dollars when people can buy complete rifles for that kind of money. As far as the GSG goes, I think with rimfire ammo being so difficult to come by for the past year or so (or more) it's appeal probably isn't what it used to be.

As far as actual pricing, there are brand new GSG rifles for somewhere between $275 and $300. There are a few used ones that recently sold on gunbroker for $200 to $240.

The upper is really hard to price in this market. Most people don't pay a premium for anything that isn't chrome lined. And CMMG isn't Noveske, Colt, BCM, etc. Complete with the bolt carrier and everything I would guess maybe $400 ish. Just a guess.
