I didn't know the US Navy trained against these, flown by contractors for Top Gun type simulations, second crash in 2 years. It was stationed at Pt Mugu.
51569 I did some searching on the plane and found this site of extremely low flying aircraft and pictures like this (lots of great photos check it out)

Not my picture, but I've certainly watched these guys alot. The best was last year, they made a couple passes on a fire as I watched from a ridgeline. It was fun looking down on an aircraft that big. The pic of the 47 with the prop bent reminds of this story I read recently. An Israeli pilot brought home a F15 with only one wing. Pretty good pilot there, plus it speaks tons about the airplane itself.

WOW! That -10 picture is beautiful and the 3/4 version F-15 speaks for itself!

As far as the F-15, I've not decided which is more crazy; the fact that the pilot landed the thing safely at 260 mph on touch down or, the IDF put a new wing on the thing and it went back into service.

Pre-disastered?
