I took my two boys to Buffalo Creek Rifle Club today. Get there and gates closed so I use the combo and drive on in. Passed right at the Colorado Trail crossing a private vehicle marked with rescue K-9 stickers on it. Kinda weird, but maybe they are on the trail. Proceed down to the short range and see another private vehicle with fire tags, but no one around. Proceed to set up targets and get to shooting. Shooting .22s for about 30 minutes. Look back and Park County Sheriff's car comes flying down the road. He jumps out and orders us to stop shooting. Walks up and informs us they have a search and rescue operation going on right behind the range. Informs us about this:
PARK COUNTY - Deputies in Park County found a car belonging to a teen reported missing from Nebraska.
Jason Berglund, 18, was last seen wearing a grey and white Myrtle Beach hoodie, dark ball cap, jeans and tennis shoes. He may also have a backpack.
According to the Panhandle Post (http://www.panhandlepost.com/2014/10/28/help-needed-in-finding-missing-former-alliance-teen/), Berglund was seen leaving the University of Nebraska-Kearney on October 22. The next day he was captured on a surveillance camera at an ATM in LODO. There was no sign of him until a deputy spotted his car last week near the Colorado Trailhead southeast of Bailey.
Park County Sheriff's deputies, Park County Search and Rescue and other volunteers have been searching the area since discovering his vehicle. So far there has been no sign of Berglund.
The search is ongoing and will continue Sunday morning. Anyone with any information about Jason is encouraged to contact the Park County Sheriff's Office.

I guess the recurses were pretty freaked knowing that they were working behind a live range. Anyway the Officer said he put a singe on the gate but it was gone. He was pretty professional throughout the contact and my kids thought is was pretty cool. You would think if the Search and Rescue team parked two vehicles on property they would have put a singe up at the range itself. I guess they assumed the one singe at the gate would work.
