Was genuinely in a bad mood following the election results this morning. I was actually feeling really frustrated and depressed about how far the state has fallen in the last year and a half. Went to the LGS at lunch to transfer a firearm I had for sale and started looking around. I ended up getting a prescription for my Democratic Depression.

Indeed it does. Although my 'streamline-everything-to-Glock' plan has now hit a speed bump.

Subjective, but I still think the Springfield 1911's are the best for your money 1911's out there.

Subjective, but I still think the Springfield 1911's are the best for your money 1911's out there.

I almost coughed up the extra $200 for a Colt Enhanced Gov't. But I've heard nothing but positives from Springfield. And for a platform I'm not going to use for competition or defense, why would I drop an additional 25%?

They're awfully nice...but I had the opportunity to fire a Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 .45 acp and I'm just smitten now. No room in my head for Springfields.

I didn't exactly partake in the same kind of therapy, but I did swing by BluCore this afternoon and pop off some rounds from the old P229. Therapy none the less! And like you, ZERO, I do feel a lot better... except for the one I pulled off silhouette by about 1/4 in. But hey, 159/160 on target is good enough day at the range. [Beer]

I'm gonna run down there Sunday to play with this, the new Glock, and sight a rifle optic. If you want to shoot more stuff, we can go on a man-date.
