I know some people view their pets as working animals...but please bring your dogs and cats inside tonight. They need to be warm!

It makes me sad when dogs are left outside. My guys will be up next to the fireplace tonight. They had the heated garage and memory foam bed all day. Spoiled rotten.

I've got a friend in Westminster that posted her distress at hearing so many barking dogs outside right now. It's an awful thought.

I'm glad your dogs are well-loved, Dave! :)

Wait a minute. Do you mean that dogs sleep somewhere other than in my bed, under my covers, pushing me with four paws to the edge so they can have more space?

I've been doing this all wrong. [werdo]

I think my cats have been in communication with your dogs. After they get done warming their frigid little paws on my lap, they slide behind me in my chair and shove at me with all four feet until they have the cushy chair to themselves...

Especially breeds not meant for cold weather. My neighbors bull dogs have been out all day and yesterday. At least they let them in at night...

Our dogs learned well from our departed cat. While she wouldn't be trained, she did a phenomenal job of training us and the dogs. She is well missed in our home.

Try to show your pets half the love they show you and your pets will never want for anything and they will live a pampered life.

Mine too, gets crazy trying to get 2 huskies and 2 adults in one bed when the stepkids are at their dad's.

Dogs are meant to be outside.

that being said, mine have never even used their outdoor doghouse, somehow their kennels in our bedroom or the entry room couch or their doggy beds in the living room are more comfortable for them with easy bathroom access through the double insulated doggy door.

But I fed him a can of chili. Maybe the couch then, god I hope his does not burn it down with those hot ones.

Our new puppy does that too. If there is a blanket being used she will be under it.

I wouldn't mind the dog sleeping with us, but her shedding is ridiculous and her fur gets every where. I don't want to be the person who people can tell has a dog because there is fur on everything they own. We did a good job keeping her off the bed, but the wife and kid don't understand that if you invite them (or don't kick them off), even sometimes then they are there forever.

10 min max, outside time for the dogs when it falls below freezing. Ours sleep on the floor / dog beds. They're pets not kids. if we treated them like kids, we'd have to kick them out when they reached 1.5 years old. GET OUT AND FIND A JOB.
Are they family, yes. They're still pets, no couch, beds NO FURNITURE. After we adopted the damnation mix, first day working with her. Place (pointing to specific areas) Bed (again specific area).. That night the spouse tells bailey, Go to bed. We go to kitchen for snack. Come back to living room and . where the hell is she? Look up stairs nothing, walk in to bedroom, she's crashed out across the bed with her head on the pillow. Like what, you said go to bed...1st and last time.

One of my dogs won't come in when it's cold out. Loves it. Likes to go lay in the snow for a few hours, and I have to drag him back in, even with current temperatures.

Our two Beagles have always lived in the house and always will! They go out to potty and play, but come right back in. Doggy door ya know.

Our small dog likes to spend her day laying on the top of the sofa. She wraps herself in any available blanket. This photo was not posed.

Dog sleeps in the bed. Son of a bitch seems to know how to find my kidneys at 3am.

Was a bit more concerned about the parrot last night since the heater decided to die. Didnt get below 60 in here though.

Mine has free roam of the house while I'm away except for the bedroom which stays shut. I keep the hair to a minimum by having a sacrificial quilt on top of all my bedding that I can peel off and wash quickly. I do however live alone so maybe that has something to do with it. She can't get enough of the snow.

And one of back home in Oregon just because I miss summers there...

Damn dog gets more square footage of the bed than I do.

Guess I trained him well.[emoji13]

One of my cats will tuck himself in when it's naptime. We find him by spotting the lump under the covers. Your little dog is adorable!

This week marked the 3-4mos window when our dogs won't even see the outside. I feel bad for them. They don't seem to mind. lol

The GSD is sleeping in front of the wood stove and the Husky is by me feet. The Husky doesn't want out to sleep in the snow so it must be damn cold outside.

Haha, my lab/rotty mix loves this weather....for about 5 minutes. She'll stare at the door, I'll let her out, she'll run around like a maniac, do her business, run around some more, then bark to come inside. Repeat, multiple times during the day. She hates water but loves snow and can handle "regular" cold just fine, this crazy single digit stuff not so much. This action shot is from last year, too cold for me to go out to take one today.

I'm loving the ecstatic expression on her face as she's bounding through the snow. :)

This morning I saw someone walking their beagle- the pup had a fleece-lined winter jacket on and he was moving very briskly. Brrrr!

You know it. We have no less then 25 of those throughout the house. Every Christmas the MIL makes at least one for them.

I've told those kids a thousand times, no cats in the house. They have beds in the barn.
