Anyone want to get together one weekend and let me run some rounds through their 26?

I shot a 27 but that was over fifteen years ago so I don't really remember much about it.

Thanks.

I've got a 26 and a 27, if I can sneak away from the fam one weekend, you are more than welcome to try it.

Thanks.

I got a PM from another member who shoots where I shoot. Going to try to meet up with him at the range sometime.

If it doesn't pan out I might just shoot you a message.

That'll work, you thinking about picking a 26 up?

If neither pans out , drive up . I have a guy with a small out door range 10 minutes from me.

You are welcome to shoot my 27. Barrels and ammunition for both .40 S&W and .357 SIG.

You know I trust you with it. [Coffee]

Thinking about it. Might change my mind after I shoot one.

Nice, I've tried plenty of different carry pistols, but I always go back to the subcompact Glocks, and I think they are in this household to stay.

How about I borrow that .357 barrel long term from you lol.

Just long enough to put two magazines through it. [hahhah-no]

Lol, I need to pick a 33 barrel up, maybe for Christmas.

I had to send the first LW barrel back. Too many failure to feed, go into battery, or fire for me to consider it reliable. The second one seems to be working much better although if I found a used 33 barrel at a decent price, I would pick it up. The LW barrel was $100 and they were very good on the customer service issues.

I will say the subcompact shooting Speer 125 gr GDHP is not something I enjoy after the fourth magazine. I will probably relieve the trigger guard, and even using the +0 Pearce extensions on the magazines doesn't make the small grip much easier to hang onto on follow-up shots. This is a much more enjoyable handgun shooting 180 gr .40 S&W.

That's unfortunate on the LW barrel, hard to beat the price point, I think a factory Glock barrel is $150 from LWD.

I had the G27 w/G33 barrel combo, and like an idiot I traded it. .357 sig in these baby Glocks is quite stout. I'll likely pick up another G33 barrel as I liked to carry 357 from time to time.

Hey Ray, keep in mind all this caliber versatility isn't possible with the 26, that's why I gave the wife my 26 and bought a 27.

I understand. Caliber versatility in one handgun isn't high on my list of priorities.

Yeah only poor people like me look for that feature lol.

I've been thinking about getting a Bond Arms derringer just because of the barrel swap ability.

Being able to shoot different ammunition out of the same gun is a big plus for me [Flower]

You guys should just buy a Thompson Contender and sell all your other handguns. [Coffee]

Hey now there's an idea! Bond arms for my CCW, TC for my "service" sized pistol, and an H&R handi rifle for my long gun!

Why would you need an H&R? Just put a rifle barrel on your contender.

Every time I am in St George, UT, I mean to stop into this shop: http://matchgrademachine.com/home.php

TC has been on my list for a while, but just hasn't gotten high enough for me to actually pick one up.

Thanks for reminding me.

Oh, and I do like cats Ray [LOL]

Apparently I'm not very familiar with the versatility of the contender lol. I've only ever fired one pistol in 243.

I actually used to own a Contender. I had barrels in 30 Herrett, 22LR Match, 7mm TCU, 22 K Hornet, and 357 Magnum.

I guess to stay clear of the Byzantine regulations of the BATFE you would actually need to have a pistol frame Contender and a rifle frame Contender so you don't get sideways in swapping your pistol into a rifle, therefore permanently making it a rifle.

Makes as much sense as a $5 AOW tax for a Serbu Shotty.

Sorry Ray, I mistook the post. I still like cats but wouldn't fight BP for the Friskies [Flower]

Not since 2011. The ruling by the atf was from a challenge by a TC owner. Not that it matters, A pistol can be changed in to a rifle configuration, then back to pistol. A rifle (long gun) however may not without it being SBR'd.
I took my draco, side folder and 5.5" f/hider (pinned / welded) installed to meet ATF guidelines.

So I should be able to convert my AR pistol into a rifle and then back into an AR pistol?

How about all of the Glock carbine conversions?

Is there any possible way the federal government could make something even more convoluted? Besides Obamacare that is.

Why not? I'm going to get one of those MEC CCU ? glock conversions, do a dedicated 9 SBR, OR just use a brace till i decide. What's one more stamp?
