Just skimmed article, my comment is same as before. Either kill them all right now or GTFO.

Ahhh... The religion of peace who have sewn the very fabric of America up to it again. I'm sure they were just venting.

Release the drones!
We know the approximate boundaries of their territory, we have B-52s. The solution seems fairly obvious to me.

Im sorry but I cant feel sorry for Americans (non military personnel) beheaded in a war zone. You placed yourself into a very very bad situation and it bit you in the ass. You either did it for glory and fame (reporters) or did it because you were a fucking moron, like this guy.
Now the lady in Oklahoma city I feel horrible for. The British soldier in London I feel horrible for. But, if you go to them and they kill you... well sorry.

I agree with you but past threads have proven to me that the majority of COAR never blames the victim. Just saying.

Couldn't the world use more glass? I know where there's a whole lot of sand...
I vote for GTFO.
How much are we spending? What are we getting in return?
We never win fighting wars for others.

Don't forget even with the CIC saying NO BOOTS on The ground. The latest report says Iraqi troops. kurdish fighters AND us personnel held back an IS move to take over some city.
Kassig converted to Islam so I really don't care that he got killed.
When are people going to understand that Islam is a death cult with over 1 billion members including obama.

Peter Kassig (former Ranger from A co 1/75) was captured in Beirut in Oct 2013 providing assistance to refugees from Syria.

That's what he was taught to do from SERE. He was a captive for over a year. His job was to survive any way possible, make friends, and gain sympathy.

so, he put himself in a really really bad place and he died for it. I would think they would teach Rangers not to do stupid things. If you go to places like that you do so without the luxury of calling your fellow Rangers for help. He was a Man and he knew what he was getting into. No sympathy from me. Had he been captured while a US soldier that was sent there, I would feel different.
Agreed. He fully knew the risks. He chose to risk his life to help others rather than sit on a couch watching football all day. I have more respect for him over 99% of Americans just for that 1 reason. He had his convictions and the balls to back them up. Speaking of that...what have some of you done to help anyone else lately? What would you risk your life for?

must be easy to be so ungrateful from your cosy couch for a man who spent several years fighting in a special operations unit. That kind of ignorant racism is not needed here.

Maybe SERE should have concentrated more on evasion instead of "Oh, just convert to Islam" if you're caught.

actually my family is quite active in volunteering. We just choose not to help muslims in a war zone. We spend our time volunteering to help Americans and American Veterans.
We dont go to war zones to help muslims. we dont go to africa to help people with ebola. both of those options would be stupid.
And I dont watch tv or football.

When he converted he spit on everything he fought for in the past.
Like I said, when are people going to understand the true nature of Islam? Islam stands in the face of everything that is good, holy, and true. Islam is utterly incompatible with the US Constitution.
Look in the mirror pal, there's your ignorance. Racist, what did I say that was racist, I didn't know Islam was confined to a race.

Personally, I dont care who he helped. People all over the world need help. And it breaks my heart to see anyone suffer needlessly. I dont care if he only SAID he converted to islam to save his only life. I would probably do the same thing. I just cant feel sorry for someone who puts them self in the middle of a war zone for some misguided reasons and it doesnt work out for them. We have lots of people who he could have helped here safely. There are volunteer positions all over the world where he could have helped in relative safety.

I lean this way on the topic of ISIS

I don't see anything racist there, CCCW.

Like I said, it must be easy and make you feel all special to talk shit from the comforts of your home. I'll pay some attention to your posts when you have been anywhere near his shoes. Other than waste oxygen, what do you do to contribute in this world?

What the hell dude? Chill out.
What the hell dude? Chill out.
I won't tolerate someone talking shit about one of my brothers who volunteered to fight and did so honorably in the Ranger Regiment, then decided it was worth the risk to help those people put out of their homes and lands by terrorists by feeding them and giving them medical assistance, especially from someone who has done nothing even remotely for anyone other than themselves. If you someone thinks that another person is a POS because of their beliefs, then don't get butt hurt when I call them a POS for believing that.

...especially from someone who has done nothing even remotely for anyone other than themselves.
That's making some foolish assumptions.
I don't like what you just said, therefore, you're worthless and selfish and wah wah wah!
Get over yourself. Nobody is attacking you or the Rangers. This guy was killed because he chose to put himself at risk.
Nobody here is a POS. Nobody here is racist. Nobody here hates Rangers. Cheese and RICE! [facepalm]

This.
Nobody called anyone a POS that I saw. I'm sure everyone respects his service and honorable discharge, and giving assistance to needy people.
After that, opinions are going to vary widely....just sayin'.
