I am sorry, I have to put it out there, I have never seen a quarterback who cries and complains about as much as him. Now he is going after the scoreboard keeper? If he's not talking crap about fans or his own players..... Now a scoreboard keeper? Can't even sit next to his team after throwing a TD pass. This guys an ass

its a game played by millionaires for you peasants to watch. I think you are taking it too seriously.
Exactly! With that said, there are far worse than PM when it comes to sportsmanship, in fact he's one of the classier millionaires out there. Lame rant OP.

I think PM is a stand up guy, way more than most in the NFL.

Truly though, all pro sports (even my beloved NHL) are just millionaires entertaining the peasants while the government flaunts the constitution and does things you'd be incarcerated for.

Peyton just expects everyone to give all they can, even the scoreboard operator.

Right!? What an asshole for immediately reviewing preplay alignments to give his team the best chance of scoring again. The balls on that guy.

It is a game played to entertain you.
You have fallen for the trap.

Personally I have more respect for the guy who goes to work in the factory for $15.00 bucks an hour 60 hours a week to keep grub on the table than some prima donna bazillionaire who makes $50,000 a minute on a Sunday afternoon.

Both of them fall off the face of the earth and which effects my life more?

Pro athletes, much like Hollyweirdos are typically so disconnected from reality they couldn't wipe their own ass.
There are a few exceptions, just like any other

IN before we know who. .

If it's below freezing and snow on the ground, i'll turn on a game. If not there are far too many things one can do outside , or around the house then sit in front of the tv for 2-3 hrs.
Even years ago when we'd ride with some of the broncos (offensive line) i'd still not get emotionally wrapped up in the game. It's a game and sales pitch for the newest beverage, shoes, skis, truck etc.

This in spades. I still follow my home state team, and my wife purchases the NFL package, but we DVR every game and go outside. Even in feezing and snow (see snowbike thread!).
Come back when it is dark and watch a 3 hour game in closer to 90 minutes.

Edit: But I follow pretty casually. The NFL is a terrible product. If I didn't have such affinity for the team (if not the sport) I'd have given up long, long ago.

False Tribalism.

Sports, while entertaining; sucks people into a false sense of belonging. Oh "My Team" is doing well this year, I am going to adorn myself with face paint, and body paint with team colors so I can feel like I belong to the tribe. All the while "The Tribe" will go on just fine without your intervention.

There was a Charger game on in the sports bar so we figured we'd eat, have some drinks, and watch the game. It was hilarious for me (non drinker) to watch "that guy". He was on his feet the whole time. High fiving anyone who even looked like a Charger fan.

I was raised watching sports. Went to a million Padre games. Went to Charger games when tickets were given to me. It was great growing up with this.

Fast forward to when my boys were playing little league baseball and I was coaching. I wanted to do the same things with them. The $18 to park my fucking car was what we used to pay for tickets. Now I'm sitting in $45 seats that were given to me. Eating a giant hot dog and drinking a soda that cost $28 for TWO of us. It's at this point that I realize that I'm done with professional sports. They priced me right out of the game.

Yeah, where does this "my team" come from? That team isn't the fans team, fans have never made a dime off "their team" and they never will, the fans get to pay for the new stadium though. I've always thought the games should have free admission except for the sky boxes because fans taxes paid for those stadiums.

The lack of discretionary spending money will put an end to pro sports in due time.

Yep entertainment. I have had season tickets since moving here in 1996. Not sure how I got so lucky to have the option having been on the wait list for under a year. I make most games, do not tailgate. I take my own food because the stadium food is pretty poor and too expensive. I probably buy food there only a couple of times. When it is cold they don't have many choices for warm you up type of choices. I use to take in a thermos of hot soup but can't anymore. I don't let game outcomes dictate what my reaction will be like. It is the player's pride and job that is effected not mine.

Yes the scoreboard operator and crew are pathetic in this stadium. There is no set song played after touchdowns and often the song choices to get the crowd pumped up are poor. There is a definite difference from the old Mile High to the new one. When cold a lot of the club level patrons retire to the inside and their participation is missed when trying to intimidate the opponents.

Guess Manning's leadership skills will show if he keeps the rest of the team focused and win themselves another Super Bowl. Overall I have thought the guy was pretty nice and tends to do things on the down low versus trying to be in the limelight making it all about him.

Ultimately it is choices in what we enjoy to do with our down time. I still have plenty of time to enjoy hunting and shooting this time of year. My work prevents me from taking proper time off for big game hunting so I focus on upland.

Biggest ass in the NFL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Tom Brady he is the reason for alot of new rules.

I think most folks outside of Colorado would argue this newfound emphasis on flags in the secondary were all "Peyton rules." He's had his own impact on the rule book.
I can really only think of one Brady rule, high profile as it is.

But again, I'm just not that into it.

I don't bother with the No Firearms Losers/National Felons League anymore. I'd rather watch DVDs or Netflix or Youtube of old shows from the 80s than put up with the pampered prima donnas and would-be felons that have increasingly dominated ever since Jerry Jones kept Michael Irving from going to jail for threatening his teammate. I will say this for Peyton Manning: he's no Aaron Hernandez or Micihael Vick or Michael Irving ...

... and still doesn't affect the game as much as Don Shula's "in-the-grasp" rule did (implemented because his QB couldn't run anyway with the braces protecting his knees).

And this is Bullshit in my opinion. The Billionaires (PRIVATE COMPANIES) get to make money off the taxpayer building them a venue to play at. Plain and simple.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Another form of crony capitalism, with the extortion angle....we'll move the team to a different town if you don't pay for the stadium.

All that talk about sale tax revenue is just bullcrap too, any revenue realized is spent on LE OT to keep the drunks and idiots in line before, during, and after the game.
