There was a very limited run of lowers with MAGPUL's name on them.

but were those lowers actually milled by magpul, or did some other company machine them & license the magpul name?
edit: I stopped being lazy and read the first link, yeah they were machiners earlier (What, I got pies to bake & gravy to prep)

Who knows what else they're whipping up in the Magpul Skunkworks.
Kudos to Magpul for proving that theirs was not an empty threat and hit these politicians where they live....in our wallets.

They tried a motorcycle:

Saw a prototype a couple of years ago at a show that Performance Cycle on S. Broadway in Denver hosted, it was pretty sweet though my body ached just looking at it.
It makes a nice talking point in the following years of the Colorado congress. Hard to say you are pro business when you do stupid shit like this.

I think the net effect of this plus pot =/= negative revenue.

We're losing a little money there, but the politicians will likely more than make up for it in pot. Honestly, I cannot imagine a single dem notices / cares that Magpul and their tax revenue is gone. $0.02
The Dems wouldn't care even if they weren't being inundated with a cash surplus from legalizing weed.
It's not about the money, it's about forcing their ideology onto everyone, and punishing those whose mere polite disagreement causes them to fly into narcissistic fits of rage.

True, but the money made in pot taxes all goes to schools. Anything more than what was budgeted, is refunded back to the taxpayers.

You're delusional if you think that the state is ever going to refund any tax revenue TABOR be damned.

Doesn't this allow them to change their budget? I sort of agree with Brutal and yourself. They won't refund it, they'll budget less for the schools from other revenue sources, increase the take from pot, and now the "other sources" can make up for what they'd have lost from Magpul or anything else.
And having said that all, Justin's point in spot on. Magpul won't hurt them in their pocketbook since their ideology is worth any cost. It really is sad.
I thought Magpul made an entire rifle that they even entered into a few gov contract trials.

They designed the Masada/ACR, but didn't want to deal with the licensing to become a full fledged firearm manufacturer, and sold the design to Remington.

The revenues for pot were waaaay overestimated (surprise!).
Sent from my electronic leash.

It's my understanding that they also did consulting and prototyping work on the KRISS smg as well.
I still hold out some hope that they will license the PDR for production some day.
One of those in 300 Blackout would just be the heat.

Yep, you beat me to it. They even did a feature of the Masada on the show Future Weapons.
