Let us remember this day in history, the men and women lost, and the reasons we went to war.

It is my belief that the three greatest lessons we needed to gain from the successful attack on Pearl Harbor, HI were:
1) To remain ever vigilent/never let our guard down.
2) Even if we choose to remain uninvolved, ensure we are fully prepared to engage an enemy successfully.
3) In the face of evil, if we are to survive, we are not always given a choice whether we will fight or not.

... and sadly, we have clearly not learned these lessons after Pearl Harbor or 9/11.
I'm watching Pearl Harbor: 24 Hours After on The History Channel ... what a piece of crap. I'd say it should have been titled Why You Should Idolize FDR since that's about 3/4 of the material.

My Uncle Arthur Cook was on the USS Nevada that morning.
Funny how little I heard about this today. I was working, but it still didn't dawn on me til lunch time. Thanks for keeping it on the radar.

Been to the memorial several times.... used to live out there. very cool, and should always be remembered.
I haven't been to the memorial since 1981; I need to get back there soon. My dad is a WW II vet, and he definitely has a different perspective on things.
