Anyone here shoot in SASS cowboy action?

I'm curious about getting into it. I know they have some strict rules as to what type of guns you can use etc. I've also heard about you can use a 1911. Just looking for some advice

Greatest people you will ever meet. Go to a shoot and talk with people before you buy anything. There are deals all over the place for cheap, you just have to ask the folks who do it where to find the good stuff. There are so many different classes based on age and equipment, and how you shoot your pistols. There is so much to think about, you really need to see it first before you make any decisions.
