Can anyone recommend a good home exercise bike under 500 bucks?
It will mainly be for my wife. She is not a tri-athlete so we don't need some cutting edge, 2k machine for Olympic athletes. It is mainly to help her rehab and stay in shape after a surgery.
I would like to order it online (Amazon Prime member). Also, if anyone could recommend a place on the Front Range where we could see some machines and try them out before buying that would be cool. We have been to Dicks and others and they maybe have one on the floor. Thanks guys.

Does she have a bike?
Honestly, for $500 put hers on a trainer for $100 - 400.
If you want to look at some examples at a store, try Sears. They tend to have a fairly large selection.

I have mountain bike on a trainer that I picked-up from Craigslist. You can find some nice deals on these.

Thanks guys. She does not currently have a bike, so am looking at the exercise bike option. Will try Sears - would really like to try out a few before buying. Good idea on Craigslist. Havent seen anything in awhile but will continue to scan it.

If you want to look at some examples at a store, try Sears. Or any married man's basement. It's the thing in the corner that has clothes hanging off of it.[ROFL3]

Nah, that's called a treadmill.
I'd bet 90 percent of bikes never get broken in. I'd look for a low mileage used one. You should check out the recumbents. I like them better than the regulars. It hurts the bits a bit less. Dicks has a decent selection too.
This is a lot like buying her a pistol without her input.
Talk with her and the DOC and Physical Therapy people. Will she be able to drive to a local gym? community center?

Try "Big 5" I bought one there a couple of years ago for a very good price.
