Trinity Brewery manages to piss off everyone

Yesterday, the Colorado Springs blog Focus on the Beer unveiled the results (http://focusonthebeer.com/2014/12/2014-best-beer-best-barrel-aging.html/) of its Best of Beer poll in the category of best barrel-aged beer. After votes were tabulated, it turns out Paradox Beer Company took first, with Nano 108 Brewing Co. and Trinity Brewing Co. finishing second and third, respectively.

Third place rubbed Trinity the wrong way, however, and its Twitter account lashed out at Colorado Springs beer drinkers. After calling the results a joke, the brewery wrote (https://twitter.com/TRiNiTYBrewing/status/542732761384357889), "not mad ;) I've pretty much accepted the education level of the city #fastfoodnation #royalewithcheese #winning." It then wrote (https://twitter.com/TRiNiTYBrewing/status/542728140729368576), "and it's situations like this that pretty much guarantee we will be leaving the springs."

(Brewer Jason Yester previously told (http://blogs.denverpost.com/beer/2014/03/07/trinity-brewing-planning-second-brewery-denver/13146/) the Denver Post he plans to move to Denver.)

Locals didn't take well to all that, which apparently led to a (https://twitter.com/missacolo/status/543050821169328128) rash of accounts (https://twitter.com/tonedeafvoice/status/543067093940178944) being blocked by the brewery. The event also spawned a Reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/ColoradoSprings/comments/2owx32/trinity_brewing_company_gets_in_fight_with_local/) with 38 comments, so far. I have been trying a lot of the barrel aged brews lately and went to Trinity just this past Sunday. It is your typical brewery crowd since it's now the "in" thing to do again. But I went for the brew and I would have to agree with the results Paradox flat out beats them in my opinion. Will be searching out Nano 108 on my next trip through the Springs.

Trinity's more attitude that fortitude the past few years. Let 'em move to Denver. They're even more beer snobby there than we are here, and just showing up saying "Colorado Springs didn't appreciate us" won't get them very far.

That alone is one reason I prefer Red Leg (http://www.redlegbrewing.com/) which is just a couple blocks from where Trinity is ... and the beer at Red Leg is better ... and cheaper. Also I can walk from my office to Red Leg.

Col.; who also played defense for the USAFA (6 ft 4 I think). The officer tried to ignore the dipshit, so dipshit either did, or tried to, hit him over the head with a beer glass. As I recall from hearing the story, the pilot could have destroyed the guy, but didn't. The owner through the military guys out, and let the hipster stay.

All of of this was told to me, but I believed the source, since I flew with him for years.

Paradox is on I24 up the pass about 2/3 of the way to Woodland Park.

Their stuff is all small-batch, and I don't think they sell anything smaller than a bomber.

This was relayed to me by an officer that I feel I can trust what he says 100%; otherwise I would be skeptical as well. But, like someone said, alcohol makes people do stupid things.
