View Full Version : Photoshop
I would like to get a picture done. I have 2 pictures I'd like to merge into one as a gift. I have a picture of my late fathers cab over from 27 ish years ago. Now I have a picture of my KW and my brothers Pete, staggered but side by side. So, can I take these pictures somewhere and get my dads truck next to ours? I am very computer illiterate, that is why I need to take it to someone. Also, will they need to "alter" the original copy? Its the only one I have and I don't want to risk losing it.
Thanks!

Just found out today on youtube that photoshop has it's own tutorial channel on vid/pic editing called photoshop café but you can also search youtube for "photoshop merging two pictures" and a ton of info can be found on how to's.

Try Pixlr Editor for free online. :)
I've found it easier to work with than photoshop personally. In terms of adding an object to a picture (a hat to my dog) or potentially, a third truck to a picture of two, at this point I can do it in minutes. [Beer] It'll take you no time at all to get this, but if you truly need help post the pictures up.
Edit: And no. Just scan them in. You need all of these digitally.
You won't need to do anything to the original copy. It can be scanned in to the computer and everything done digitally.

Keep in mind, depending on how different the photos look (if the pic from 27 years ago is discolored and grainy), it will look very photoshopped. It might be nice anyway. :)
A good photoshop artist could probably match the quality of the new photos to the old photo. I think the biggest issue will be the position the shots were taken from.

All troof!
Take the old image to Reed Imaging in Denver (the higher the scan resolution of the old pic, the smoother the transition/blend will be with current files).
…or so I hear ;)
