View Full Version : Ban new products for the Children!
New thing, powdered alchohol? Sounds interesting. The proposed uses does sound for backpacking or something.
Now trying to be banned. Sponsored by a Republican too here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2875675/Powdered-alcohol-Not-fast-lawmakers-say.html

LOL at drinking on a long hike or vigorous activity. The inventor is a cheeky fucker.
Nonetheless, it's a pretty interesting concept. But unless you can have it shipped to you without age verification, I don't see how banning it is supposed to "protect the children". They can get regular booze as it is. What does it matter if it's powdered?

It doesn't just another example of the government knowing what is best for the servants.

My guess is that the big alcohol companies are against it, therefore all of the politicians in their pockets are against it too.

Andy says the company has since spent $650,000 on the property, including repairing the parking lot, replacing a sewer line, decking out the exterior in reclaimed barn wood and installing that bulletproof glass. The alternative was bars on the windows.
He paid in CASH. yet the feds will not let banks take their money.
Buy a pound of tapioca maltodextrin off of amazon for less than $20. Use a spray bottle to moisten it with 151 or Everclear.
Ban that... :D

Ban clove cigarettes but leave the real ones alone. Yep, they are that ridiculous.

Bingo
Remember when teachers would confiscate Binaca (sp)? Some 2nd grade teacher is going to flip her shit the next time she sees a kid dipping his finger in a baggie full of Tang at recess.

Now that I think about it... I think I did snort some vodka once.
Shut up, Bobby!
This brand may be new,but it's been around for awhile. I've even seen powdered margaritas somewhere. Funny the randomness of what is and isn't blesses by the king.

I like the concept of not having to haul bottles and cans home from the liquor store.
Sort of leads to a 6-pack in your shirt pocket. [Beer]
Or maybe the alcohol version of the K-Cups.
This. Leave me the hell alone already.
You will never, EVER be left alone again. Where's the profit in that for a GDDG (G-ddamned do gooder) politician? Their lifeblood is power, the acquisition and wielding of. It doesn't matter which side of the faux aisle they come from, they are both there to screw you, just from different positions. ANYONE who thinks otherwise does so at their own peril.

Windholz said states should make sure they have a regulatory system in place before allowing powdered alcohol to be sold.
Last I checked we already had rules and regulations for selling alcohol. They make it sound like the ice cream man will be driving around neighborhoods with this item stocked next to the FunDip and PopRocks. If its alcohol and its sold at a liquor store or a store with a liquor license I dont see the problem. Its more meaningless legislation to distract from real issues in the state.
Who wants to have a "build your own" powdered alcohol build party? :D

I had champagne come out my nose once. It kinda hurt.
I think some kind or another powdered alcohol mix has been around for some time now. A buddy took some on a back country kayak trip to Yellowstone about 15 years ago. Everybody agreed that you would be better off packing cans or decanting you booze into plastic containers. On a side note, it is possible to make paddle floats out of empty wine box bladders and a stuff sack.
