I have done 2 transfers through these guys...Best deal in the business...
You call them, give them your name, gun info from where it's coming in from, and you phone number.
They call u when santa shows up and drops off his goodies
You go and pick them up, ring the bell
15$ ffl transfers, can't beat that...

Was happy with RFB until I had to fill out an unnecessary, in-house form for them during a person-to-person transfer.

What was it for?

My memory is fading but it felt like some sort of liability waiver to "protect" all involved parties- RFB, buyer, and seller. It required more info than just my name, address, and signature (maybe price?). If I remember correctly it included questions about the firearm being transfered. I remember feeling like, "Just transfer the firearm like the new law requires already."
""Just transfer the firearm like the new law requires already."
Exactly. No need to "out-government" the government.

Just FYI personal transfers cost $25 plus tax. And they still make the seller fill out that dumb form.
Sounds like Gander. Mandatory paper trail. Twice the time.

I've sold twice through Gander and never filled out anything.

Gander in Aurora makes you sign a form with name, address, etc. Sounds like Thornton is different.

Interesting, yeah I've never signed anything.
What does Gander charge for a person to person transfer?

It was like $17.50 total last time I did one. First time was $20 but apparently they lowered it.

Last time I was in gander aurora they had a sign saying they only do person to person on a particular day.
Aurora is $20 total. $10 for store, $10 for state.
They do have the posting on the entry door, but they routinely disregard that policy.
Another great experience at RFB! Needed to ship out a gun and they took care of me very nicely. Also have an incoming they'll be handling, great folks and convenient too LOL. This incoming will probably be last firearm purchase for a long time due to the new scooter but I'll be getting lots of other items there.

I've purchased some drago packs from them recently, good stuff. RFB ordered one up too since they didn't have two for me to buy. Good folks.
+1 for RFB. Friendly, professional, fast, and inexpensive. And Steve WILL call you when your item arrives. I've used other shops in the area and they don't call, and it takes them forever to find it when I call them.
