I am thinking about using those foam puzzle floor pieces for kids rooms. Great stuff.

I have a feeling shooting more common handgun calibers through it and it won't seal up quite as well. Excellent find though.

Better yet, would be to have a nice chunk of property so that I can have my dream Hickock 45 range of steel [drool]

Well, I know what I am doing on this New Year's Day. Hell, we may even do them on Christmas Day. What a great idea!

I wonder instead of tape if you could laminate the sheet then paint?

I'm sure it would have the same effect.

Probably raise the price to $ .10 each, though.

I'm thinking of trying it on the waxy side of freezer paper, will report back when I get a chance to actually try it, If it works, would make it a LOT easier and faster.

Great you tube , thanks........I buy a lot of these from MIDWAY USA as factory seconds, and the larger sized ones are expensive.......this could do the trick......keep posting any improved ideas, Merry Christmas.......

OK, so I tested my thought of doing it on freezer paper (the waxed side) and it works! although not as well as packing tape.

In the picture below you can see the results, cheapo flat black paint over freezer paper, holes on the left are freezer paper alone, and the 3 on the right are packing tape. For my uses freezer paper alone will do the job 99% of the time, but it definitely flakes better on the packing tape. all 5 shots are 22lr.

I like the freezer side better, just enough to id hits in smaller groups.

I was thinking the same thing. I like the ones of the left. Was that just freezer paper sprayed with flat black paint? Nothing else? Seems super easy!

Showed this to my wife before leaving for work this morning. She immediately pulled out the freezer and tore off a couple pieces and said she was going to make a few to try out.

Yes sir, just cheapo black spray paint on freezer paper (the waxed side) extremely cheap and easy. I also prefer the size of the flake on that for anything with optics on it. Might be a little tough to see with irons at any distance, but for me that's a real rarity to be doing anyway.
