I posted from my phone and the link works using it. Maybe someone could be so kind as to post an edited link that works for all until the sermon is over and I can get to a computer. Thanks.

If only we could get that passed here.

That's a sweet bill, and one that has positive effects on me as well. Way to go Ohio.

Should have embedded video. Chrissie would chuckle.

If the pot folks can get an amendment to the state Constitution locking in their "right" to pot, why is it unthinkable for us to get a pro-gun amendment in place which negates the anti-gun laws recently passed around here and protects our rights in perpetuity?

Suppressors would be nice. Why are these illegal again? I have several granola crunchy friends that have complained about the gun noise up in the mountains. I ask them if they would support legislation allowing suppressors, and after they figure out I am talking about a "silencer" they act like I am a some sort of terrorist hitman... Enjoy the gun noise assholes!

We have one. It very clearly reads "'...shall not be infringed."

I've always liked Kasich. He's a prime example of why I don't think term limits are necessarily good.

Why do we need an amendment to something clearly spelled out in the State Constitution (http://tornado.state.co.us/gov_dir/leg_dir/olls/constitution.htm#ARTICLE_II_Section_13)?

Article II, Section 13. Right to bear arms. The right of no person to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall be called in question; but nothing herein contained shall be construed to justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons.

Now, if you're talking about an amendment to remove that last phrase ... [Beer]

When Colorado joined These United States in 1876 Colorado agreed to abide by the provisions in the National Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States, if CO didn't agree then CO would not be a state but its own country. The 2nd Amendment "shall not be infringed" applies to ALL states, counties, cities, and citizens because the 2nd is part of of the founding documents of this nation. NO state, county, city, or citizen can escape it, that is why ALL gun laws are unconstitutional, from NFA to NYC gun ban to the CO magazine law, ALL are unconstitutional.

Drugs are not part of the guaranteed rights of citizens, if they were they'd be in the national constitution.

Drugs are a state issue and if a state votes to allow drugs then we can tolerate it or move to a state that doesn't allow drugs.

Good to see my home state improving firearm laws. Especially the reciprocity piece. Now I'll be able to carry when I visit without getting a Utah permit.

Outstanding bill. I can only dream of the same in Colorado.

Finally! Someone on here understands the constitution, and knows that all gun laws are illegal.

So this is all good progress, the Pew poll that shows that for the first time in maybe 20 years there are more people concerned about defending gun rights than doing away with them, language on the part of many states that pushes us in this direction. Use this language as a model, and propagate it everywhere, but do not forget the damage that was done in a very short period of time by a concentration of stupid legistators. Hold that in your mind when you vote.
